The place was okay but the price of the room far exceeded the value.
Upon check-in, $10 was added to the rate for having a pet with me - which I didn't know about before that...and then they had run out of casino packages as advertized. Apparently, if you are too late in the month, they don't have any left.
If it is cold, rainy or snowstormy night, this place would be okay. If not, find somewhere else.

it was really worth for me to stay a night with my family in HORWARD JHONSON in sault ste marie .Excellent, friendly and very quick customer service, exra clean environment, rooms and bathrooms were all clean and tidy, delicious continental breakfast, awesome service ever had it in my life.

This was a dirty, run down facility with maybe one or two other guests. Slow hot water, rugs were filthy and no services. Do not stay here.

I wrote a very long review to the HQ. No one responded.

First impression of dirty wash cloth left on outside window sill next to door should have been a red flag. Room was dirty, carpets not vacuumed, snow not shoveled outside the door - got tracked in and floor by desk in front of door was always wet. I stayed one night instead of the planned two. I should have checked out immediately when I saw the room, but I was in too much of a hurry to change and go cross country skiing. One of the nearby rooms had a broken window and it was covered by cardboard inside. It was nearly deserted, and I did not feel real comfortable parking around the back near my room. It was the lowest priced in my search, but I learned that generally speaking, good hotels aren't cheap and cheap hotels aren't good.
