Not even good for one night. This hotel was over-priced, in need of remodeling, noisy. NO internet (ack), poor customer service. I will not return here.

hi all, reviewing the Days Inn in Sault Ste Marie Ontario. Went back to the sault to see my mom, as she had moved out of her house i needed a place to stay, so i used priceline and got a good deal @ $79 a night for 4 nights. i guess you get what you pay for, and at that price, i think i did. im not saying the hotel was BAD, by any means, but @ regular prices over $120 a night, its not worth it. its just a basic hotel that has received some upgrades over the years, but simple, value store upgrades, nothing lavish.

the good:

helpful, knowledgeable staff. they'll always try to assist.
great location downtown
balcony
nice pool and sauna

the bad:

the mattresses are wrapped in plastic. i mean really?!? i know you have to protect your investment, but come on... Zero breathability, i woke in a pool of sweat every morning. and uncomfortable besides. 4 nights on that thing had my back screaming.

pillows felt like balls of poly fibre, and this cannot be construed in any good ways. unsupportive uncomfortable balls of fluff.

cheap cheap poly comforters and blankets. whoever decided on those should have to sleep in them all the time.

so overall, not bad but def not great. old CRT TV, but it works. no in room cloths storage (no dresser or drawers, just a small closet) but you know, thats ok. no vanity in the bathroom, just a cheap home depot sink. good water pressure, lots of hot water.


like i said, overall, not bad, worth one night, but i cant get past the plastic mattress covers. hell, they crinkle all night every time you move. woke me up each time.

What seems to be an older hotel in need of up-dating. When we first arrived at the room, our card wouldn't unlock the door. With that resolved, the door would not lock when closed. A nice sized room but no micro-wave and the bathroom lacked counter space except for a shelf about 6"x12". Free breakfast was quite ordinary compared to other hotels in the same price range. I will say the staff was helpful and the hotel clean.

I chose this hotel due to its convenient location and affordable price but was pleasantly surprised by what they had to offer. I found the internet connection excellent and the the service of the front desk staff was exceptional (knowledgable and accomodating). The following morning I was again pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast and the courtesy breakfast area lady.
