Really centrally located on the waterfront, and it feels brand new, even though it's been two years since they rennovated. The dtaff were really great, polite and helpful. Rooms were large, generous and comfortable. The restaurant in the lobby has some excellent desserts.
The wifi wasn't up and running when I was there, but the room had a lan cable if I needed to go online.

We're well travelled to the area, staying at this establishment many times under the Holiday Inn Banner when a typical 3* Holiday Inn with functional facilities.

Now under the Delta brand, we've stayed here now on 4 separate occasions, and each one has seen clean, welcoming rooms, with quality bedlinen and amenities. Much improved - and very comfortable room and bed.

Downstairs public space has had a major facelift, but not yet used the restaurant so can't comment.

Only downside (and minor) is that there is no wi-fi facilities in the bedrooms, only in the public areas downstairs.

However, good waterfront choice now in SSM.

I stayed here in March 2008 when it was a Holiday Inn and found it a little dated with old uncomfortable mattresses. I was back October 2011 and it's now a Delta. It's been renovated and has a new modern appearance. The rooms were very nicely decorated with comfortable beds. Bathrooms were completely redone with a good shower head and good water pressure. The whole hotel was very clean. I only ate at the hotel's restaurant once for dinner. The food and service was good. Prices decent but not cheap. I didn't use the exercise room but it looked avaerage. I don't know if it had a pool because I was on a business trip both times I stayed here.

The hotel is right on the river and has a large parking lot. Good place to stay.

I wish we stayed for more than two nights. I had the best sleep ever in a hotel! And that's saying a lot since I have stayed at some pretty nice hotels. The room was clean and spotless and the bed was super comfortable, with down pillows and bedding that smelled fresh and ultra clean. And isn't the quality of the sleep the best way to judge a hotel? My only regret is that I couldn't take the bed home with me!

Everything else about the hotel met or exceeded our expectations. This place used to be a Holiday Inn but most people would never know thanks to the renovations.

So yeah, splurge a bit and have a great sleep in a really fine hotel.
