Lovely rooms, beautiful surroundings, nice views and good breakfast. Way better than any hotel in Peterborough Ontario!

I was there with 9 other women and we had an exceptional stay. We were provided an exceptional breakfast and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Martha was an extremely great and attentive host. Thanks Martha and we will see you again next year.

We stayed at the Selwyn Shores B&B one night as part of a 10-day Trent Severn Waterway cruise. While we were able to dock our 22' power cat at Selwyn's dock, it was a problematic because of shallow depth. Be very careful, if you arrive by water!

This B&B is in a modern house with several very spacious public rooms. If you have a large group, Selwyn Shores is your place! Our ensuite sleeping room, however, was so small there wasn't even a place to open luggage. Also, the room and bath were devoid of the usual toiletries, etc.

Although the hostess is s reputed gourmet cook, the breakfast while adequate was nothing special. Also, the B&B is located out in the middle of nowhere so if you arrive by boat, bring lunch/dinner provisions.

We had arranged for the hostess to provide dinner to our group which at the time of the original booking was thought to be five people. Thirty days before our anticipated arrival, however, we amended our reservation to include only two people. Dinner was no longer available. This ws probably because the hostess was off in Tornoto most of the day at a theatrical production. Leaving a sandwich in the refridgerator would've been gracious. Maybe she knew we were both on diets.

We stayed twice this month, the first time with our daughter and we took two rooms each with a bathroom. The most remarquable thing is that Martha and Dan are very helpful. They recommended and booked sevaraal restaurants for us and gave us griving directions. They even borrowed us their golf clubs. The Chemong Lake is i a nice location.
