This is an absolutely beautiful retreat. We stayed one night (not long enough!) in the "Cherub's Hideaway" suite and it was a perfect getaway...very peaceful and relaxing. The owner, Marianne, is a very gracious hostess who really looks after the details. We loved it there and plan on returning in the spring/summer to take advantage of the outdoor patio.

We recently spent our third two night stay at Angels Rest in the Peaceful Waters suite. The recent renovations are bellisima. Our tenth wedding anniversary was romantically enhanced by the spa jacuzzi bath with mosaic tile angel mural, the two sided fireplace enjoyed from both living room and bed room. The window seats in both rooms overlooking the Otonabee River with ducks geese chipmunks squirrels and the like to amuse below. Mariannes culinary breakfast delights were a mucho bona addition since our last two very special visits our wedding and fourth year wedding anniversary. We thank you Marianne for your hospitality and for introducing us to Shiloh and your kitty (sorry not sure how to spell name). We leave with thoughts of when we may return.

My partner and I visted Peterborough twice recently and on the second trip we were fortunate to find Angel's Rest. What a perfect retreat! We have stayed in b&b's in other provinces/states but this really was a special treat.
We stayed in the "Secret Garden" with a comfy bed, nice fireplace, fully stocked kitchenette with special treats of homemade muffins and fresh fruit. Marianne, the owner was a delight and we made a special bond with her four legged, furry sons.
Not sure when we will be going back to Peterborough but Angel's Rest will be where we will stay?

We have lived in Peterborough for many years - I have heard numerous times how beautiful Angels Rest is. My husband and I lead a very hectic life that includes a daughter with disabilities, 2 young grandsons, a Labrador puppy, careers, etc.....we try to get away for a weekend at least every 2 months to reconnect with each other. We usually travel to distant inns that take away part of our alone time with travel so a few weeks ago we decided to try Angels Rest . We have a precious, romantic hideaway right here in Peterborough. When we arrived there was a Welcome note on the door to our room.....Marianne greeted us warmly and showed us around our room. The room was very cozy with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, a beautiful queen size bed and a small kitchenette. The setting, on the shore of the Trent river, was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a lovely evening with friends returning to Angels Rest for a great nights sleep. Marianne provided a tasty breakfast that filled us for the day - she even gave us a doggie bag so we could take home our leftovers to our puppy! We hear that Marianne's breakfast specialty is French Toast ,so we now have to return in order to form our own opinion.
We had a great stay at Angels Rest and plan to return very soon!
