Just to put it simply: do not go. While I am a university student, and may be used to substandard living, I realize how a business is supposed to function.

When arriving, I was asked to leave until I mentioned I was a paying customer. I was told to pay up front.

When I made it to my room, it was disgusting. The bed wasn't made, there was a stain on the mattress. Garbage and fast food wrappers were strewn across the floor. Flies were everywhere, and the room smelled of bong water and must.

I immediately left, demanded a refund, which was denied. I spent $40 to get eyed up, and be totally repulsed.

This place is literally a slum-dwelling and not fit for any person to inhabit. It is dirty, there are RATS (which the owner claims no responsibility for) and smells horrible. The owner Deepak is incredibly rude and has no understanding of customer service or even normal etiquette and is completely unreasonable. I also believe he is sexist and has a problem with strong or assertive women. Horrible experience overall.

Attention, please do not stay at this "hostel." It is not a hostel which is insulting to all hostels everywhere, I rather sleep on a park bench. The photos are deceiving. The place is run-down, dirty and smelly. When we arrived for check-in, it wasn't even clean or even close. Left-over food, bug-infested, and smelly.

I stupidly made the mistake of paying for it and once I try to get my money back as soon as I arrive (decided to go to a different hostel as soon as I saw the premise) there were no refunds at all. Also, the price quoted is wrong and exorbitantly high for this slum - I got ripped-off! A one night stay will cost you about $60.00. There is an extra $2.00 charge for towels and $5.00 for parking. Go stay at the hostel on Nicolas Street for that price or a hotel. Once again, stay away from this "place."

This is a dreadful hostel akin to a slum. It certainly wouldn't meet public health standards and is a fire-trap. It is dirty, smelly and not even remotely like it's website description. The prices quoted are not what you actually pay per night. It is actually more expensive. You also have to pay $5/night for parking. The rooms are NOT clean and in disrepair. The carpet throughout the hostel is very dirty and reeks of urine. The kitchen is ill-equipped and also not very clean. The bathroom is barely functional and we only had limited access to hot water. It should be closed down and certainly not allowed to advertise itself as something it isn't. It is a disgrace that it is allowed to operate in the capital of Canada.
