Location is excellent - near main trans-Canada highway (Queensway - 417) and bus station, about a block from the main street of centretown Ottawa (Bank St) and within a mile or so (1.6km) of Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal and other downtown attractions. Parking is included and rates start just above $C50 (single occupancy).

This property is an older house with shared washrooms - nothing fancy - colour cable TV in rooms, no 'phone in rooms, 'phone in living room costs 25 cents for local calls (coin-operated).

A hot breakfast is included in the price, a bargain compared to most Ottawa, Ontario lodging.

No laptop/Internet hookups but an Internet café is nearby (walk one block east toward Bank Street).

Cash is accepted ($5 refundable deposit applies) as are credit cards; no debit card machine is on-site. If you're carrying debit cards, an ATM can be found within a block or two - just wander over and get cash.
