Positive point: close from a mall. That's it. Hotel was not so clean, smelled, matress was horrible. Complimentary breakfast is basically bad coffee and greasy muffins. And the Internet... well... let's just say I hope you are patient!

Wow! Where was the comfort? We picked this place for it's location and being pet friendly, but didn't realize the pets included black ants. We killed a dozen during our stay. When I asked for towels from the desk clerk (offering to take them up myself), he said he would bring them right up. After an hour we cancelled the request, since he hadn't shown up yet (guess he was too busy watching his streaming video online).
The room was very "worn" and there was some sort of red stain sprayed across the ceiling that an attempt had been made to remove.
We will not be back and would not recommend a visit.

We stayed here as a family moving from the Maritimes to Ontario for 3-4 days. We chose this hotel as it is "pet-friendly". We had a lower level rooms (2) which was perfect for taking the dogs out. Luckily there is green-space around the back of the property.

The downfall is that we were going to be located more in the east of Ottawa and there aren't any hotels closer to the east end.

The cleaning lady was great..always knocked as she knew we had two dogs.

The continental breakfast was as at other hotels but there was always lots to chose from and they never ran out...crampt quarters as it is served right in the small lobby, but you will get something.

During the weekdays, there seemed to be many truck and construction type of people hanging around the back of the hotel. Some seemed to be staying there...but I am not sure if some were using it as a "park and ride" to work. Bus transit is the way to travel around Ottawa..but it is hard to find a place to park in order to get the public transit..so many businesses 'sell' parking passes. Again, I can't say this hotel was doing that..but I just couldn't figure out the added cars that were not there overnight or the men hanging around.

The rooms seemed a little tight..two queen beds..not alot of space by the table/microwave set up.

Overall, this hotel suited our needs very well and we would stay there again.

This was our first stay at this location and it will be our last. As a Choice Hotels Gold member, I was disappointed in this hotel. It appears as if this is a re-flagged Econo Lodge.

The location is good and just off the 417, however, it can be somewhat dicey especially at one intersection.

The lobby is small and is where the breakfast is set up in the morning. Very little room to move and no seating.

The rooms are adequate with the requisite fridge/micro wave/coffee maker. The bathroom is small.

The hotel could use some upgrading and maintenance. The non-smoking rooms are at the ends of the long hallway and to get to the lobby through the building, you must go through the smoking section. The non-smoking section of the hallway smells of cigarette smoke.

The Wi-Fi was good.

On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

The negatives outweigh the positives for this hotel and I cannot recommend it.
