Took the kids for a stay action for Winterlude. Package included parking, continental breakfast and beavertails.

Location is amazing, Rideau Centre is right next door. Walk to all the amenities.

Room was the prestige room. It is a converted 700sq ft apartment. Kitchen, dining room and den in addition to two bath rooms.

Only complaint was the elevators. I had a sprained foot and had to walk up and down 11 floors - twice due to almost non-existent elevators. It took almost 15 minutes to get the elevator when we did wait one time.

Other than that, stay was great. We got a garden view due to other reviews and were quite happy with little noise.

This is an amazing hotel. Upon arrival we are always warmly greeted by friendly, professional staff. But that is just the beginning. When we travel to Ottawa, we love to entertain family and friends who live in the area. Each time, every effort is made to provide us with all we require. On our last visit we asked for addtional chairs and an extra table. When the gentlemen who delivered these noticed the plastic utensils and paper plates we had put out, they smiled and told us to put them away and promised to return shortly. Not long after they returned with a trolley of plates, utensils, glassware and beatiful tablecloths - all we needed to entertain in style! This is our home away from home and we love it. You can't beat the service, the location and the quality accommodations, all at an affordable cost.

While the hotel is good - a basic hotel with lots of room and a full kitchen - the noise outside is destroying my sleep! Hotel is located directly across from Ritual nightclub, which has line up of drunks all night long. On the other side of the hotel is the Salvation Army shelter and beside is a tattoo parlour. All this adds up to not very nice environs for a hotel. Skip this one, pay extra (although I paid $250 for a 2-bedroom unit) and stay at the Westin or Laurier, which are in much better and secure locations.
Also, beware of the restaurant in the lobby which charges $20 for a plate of chicken fingers and fries!

The location is fabulous. Steps away from Rideau Centre, Byward Market, Parliament Hill and Rideau Canal.

The hotel is a converted apartment building. Suites are very large. Some rooms are renovated. Our first night we were in 908. This room had a stale odor. Wreaked of stale smoke. We asked for a different room and was easily accommodated. We moved to 611 and this room was good.

The elevators are slow and taking the stairs is a bit of maze to get to the lobby.
