I stayed here for one week for business in January.

The hotel was extremely well located as it was only a block from Elgin street and just behind Ottawa city hall. You can walk just a few minutes to the Rideau Center and the Bytown Market. Given the large rooms, this might be a great location for families who need some space.

Pros:
-Location!
-Giant rooms
-Great wifi
-Kitchen in the rooms
-plenty of hotwater
-clean

Cons:
-Very worn around the edges. Holes in the wall in my room and very dated fixtures and appearance
-The kitchen was pretty poorly outfitted - basic dishes, some cutlery. No toaster
-The hotel restaurant and bar were pretty unattractive. I wandered in my first night, but chose to eat elsewhere.

this hotel is in a great location but it is a bit dated. but, it's still clean & my room was a large bachelor & the best feature was the full sized kitchen. with again...dated appliances, but they all worked. lots of cupboard space...even more than i have at home!
my room was on the 2nd floor right above the automatic garage door so it took me a while to figure out what that noise was. also, there's construction going on across the street but it wasn't too loud. got my room though travelocity top secret room so the price was great!

The suits in this hotel are great for when travelling with friends. This is our goto hotel for our ski vacations in the Gatineau's. You can't beat the location and value. Sure, the rooms aren't perfect but having two washrooms, a kitchen (with full table), and four beds more than make up for the deficiencies.

The price was excellent but it is just a very average hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location is great in downtown Ottawa. However, the room was run down, the taps dripped and it needs a serious coat of paint. Yes, it was a suite but the room was on the poor side of quality. When I arrived, the hotel had no available parking. There is a more expensive lot available across the street but I managed to find a spot on the street. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I really cannot recommend this place because of the condition of the room.
