I stayed here with my family for one night before a wedding we were going to. We had 2 rooms. The room that I stayed in wasn't so great. There were stains on the carpet, some graffiti on the back of the bathroom door and some weird metal sheet thing on the bottom of the bathtub. It looked like it was a repair to the bathtub but I can't be sure, and made the bathtub seem less than clean. The other room was fine and seemed pretty clean, and I opted to use the bathtub in that room instead. Because of the variant quality of the two rooms, it seems a little like hit and miss. However, I have to say, the overall quality of the rooms were fine and clean enough. It's an okay place to spend a night if you're passing through and can get a discount on the rooms.

Was happy with nice staff, clean and quiet big room, reasonable price. Direct phone line for calling taxi in the lobby. Very good breakfast in the restaurant right next to the entrance.
Didn't like the location (about 20CAD for taxi to get to the center of Ottawa). Not a problem when you are by car - hotel has parking. The view to the highway from my window wasn't very nice.
Can recommend this place if you need to stay not for a long time.

Stayed two nights on weekend. The place is what you might expect from a two star. The room was small with just enough space for the queen bed. The decor is very basic but not quite shabby. Did not have any problems no bugs not dirty - just nothing good to say either.
The room had no fridge or microwave and there are none available in any public area. Had to ask the front desk to reheat food in their lunchroom microwave. There was free WIFI that worked well and the pool was in service. There is a restaurant next to the hotel but only other close-by food choice was a Wendy's.
The location is right at the exit of Highway 417 so getting to downtown by car took only 5 minutes. I don't think I would want to stay here if using public transit as the hotel is a ways from downton or the busway.
A check-in another couple was paying $119 for the night which I would consider a rip-off for this place - I paid the same for two nights. Hint - if you bid on Priceline for a 2-star hotel in Ottawa east this is the only place you can get - so if you want to stay here save up to 50% using Priceline.

the hotel looks very gloomy when you drive up to it. The reception area is kept well but thats where it stops. The carpet is very old and stained. We were put in a room that was drenched with the smell of smoke. When we told the staff they switched us right away.

The room and all its features are very outdated. The washroom was old. Nothing major wrong with this hotel though. If you need a cheap place to stay then you can go for this. I would not go there with family.
