Will not stay here again. I have been coming her for several years but this will be the last visit to this hotel. The location is perfect; right across from a shopping center and the Byward Market on the other side; numerous night spots within walking distance; art galleries at every turn. The rooms are small and the bathrooms lack a bathtub with a walk in shower only. I could live with the paper thin walls and the limited privacy of the bathroom, but the counter staff is unhelpful and rude. After spending a week here, I would have thought customer service might have been a little more important than what it is. I waited in line for 20 minutes to check in because one of the two clerk only did check outs, and the person that was doing the check in's also had to double as a baggage checker. The clerk then forgot I was staying for a week with my husband. The second day my key card would not work, but they neglected to put my name on the reservation, so there was a problem issuing me another card, even though this same person saw me the previous evening with my husband when his card did not work and they had re-issued him one. In all my interactions with any of the staff over a period of three days there was never a smile, a thank you, a how can I help, nothing. It was like I was an imposition on their time. I have been in the customer service industry for 15 years and this is not it.
