My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Ottawa Marriott Courtyard on Dalhousie St.
Upon arriving, our early check in request was available and we were given a welcome gift.
We had a lovely room, excellent service from a very caring, friendly staff. The location in the heart of the Byward Market is ideal. It is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, Rideau Centre
mall and Parliament buildings. We enjoyed our stay very much and would strongly recommend this hotel.

My family spent 2 days at the Courtyard Marriott Ottawa and we had the best experience. The hotel was clean, and the location was perfect, as it was close to everything downtown. The hotel staff was courteous and very attentive. My daughter goes to school in Ottawa, so this will be the hotel of choice from now on when I visit her.

One night stay. Room was tastefully furnished in contemporary chic style. Being close to New Year's Eve, we signed a "Party Waiver" as all guests had to, including agreeing to noise control after 9pm. My husband and I were fast asleep when he was woken by people noisily and continuously talking in the hall. He looked out the peep hole and children were running around too and banging doors, after midnight. He called the front desk and was told someone would talk to them. After I awoke by then (I had earplugs and sleep mask), he called front desk again and someone came again to talk to these people (there was a tournament of sorts in town). The night staff, Michael, made "everything right" AND threw in free buffet breakfast (normally $11.50 per person), as well as free parking (normally $15 extra). This made all the difference.

Location: within the Byward Market and tourist areas, easy walk
Restaurant: Dunn's 24 hour delicatessan across street -- served breakfast too, but we were very happy with the cool-chic Bistro on the main floor

Would stay again. Hotel apologized for having booked the two remaining rooms on the same floor as the tournament people. I am sorry the tournament people felt they could act so noisily clearly after midnight when others were sleeping.

Great staff and customer service all around. Didn't try gym or pool this time.
