Stayed two nights in January 2012. Excellent location, easy to find, secure parking, loads of restaurant choices (Baton Rouge was crowded and good if a little pricey; Bay St. Bistro had good food), fantastic breakfast with lots of choices including a cooked-to-order with eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, etc. etc.), warm and cosy with character, and the staff could not be more helpful. As we were checking out, they offered to make a fresh pot of coffee so we could take two cups "to go". Our room had two twins and was quite small, but there's a lovely lounge on the first floor with a fireplace, and we had a glass of wine there. My husband found his bed too soft so if you need a firm mattress, you might want a different room. Check first. Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay here again!

We have spent several nights over several years at the Albert House Inn, and we have been consistently satisfied with the room, breakfast and service. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is right on a transitway for many different buses and it's a 15-20 minute walk into the Parliament/Byward Market area. Parking is available but tight, and there are only a few restaurant options within 2-4 blocks. A 24-hour convenience shop across the street has bus tickets for those uninterested in day passes. Rooms were small but comfortable, and each one has been different. Reasonably priced, and we heartily recommend it!

I have traveled much with my career and far less with my wife so it was important to find a nice place to get away with her. The Albert House delivered with spades. The room was very clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and supplied a great night's sleep to the both of us. The service was outstanding, friendly and the blueberry pancakes were almost as good as the coffee. The location is perfect walking distance to all the tourist sites and some great places to eat. I was honestly expecting to pay more and will staying there again.
