We have spent several nights over several years at the Albert House Inn, and we have been consistently satisfied with the room, breakfast and service. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is right on a transitway for many different buses and it's a 15-20 minute walk into the Parliament/Byward Market area. Parking is available but tight, and there are only a few restaurant options within 2-4 blocks. A 24-hour convenience shop across the street has bus tickets for those uninterested in day passes. Rooms were small but comfortable, and each one has been different. Reasonably priced, and we heartily recommend it!

I have traveled much with my career and far less with my wife so it was important to find a nice place to get away with her. The Albert House delivered with spades. The room was very clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and supplied a great night's sleep to the both of us. The service was outstanding, friendly and the blueberry pancakes were almost as good as the coffee. The location is perfect walking distance to all the tourist sites and some great places to eat. I was honestly expecting to pay more and will staying there again.

why bother with a big hotel

The staff was polite and the breakfast was good.
Our room and bathroom were small and the air condicioning was noisy so we had to switch off. However the room was clean. The house is characteristic with a nice shared living room.
The hotel is quite central with easy access to downtown. The hotel has parking which is important as it's difficult to park in that area.
In general we liked the atmophere of the hotel and the central position.
