My wife and I are seasoned travelers and have stayed at over 300 properties world-wide. We have stayed at the Albert at Bay many times.The staff and accommodations here are exceptional. We left yesterday with a very good feeling about the place, especially Bernadette on reception. Then I got home and found that I had left my hat and scarf in the closet. When I contacted housekeeping I was assured that, not only had the items been found, but that the hotel would mail them to me at the hotel's expense. Service above and beyond!
The CAA/AAA rate is very good value, especially because it includes free indoor parking.

I stayed at the hotel in January when on training. I am glad we picked this hotel. Suite was good... felt like home with separate kitchen and bedroom. My 2 kids were happy as they received the kids activity pack... the only drawback is that it doesnt have a pool. Apart from that, if you are visiting in warmer months, you dont need the pool and stay in hotel. There is plenty of stuff to do around the hotel.

We booked this hotel at the last minute for the hockey all star game. Using expedia search this hotel a 3star turned up having the highest review rating. We were very suprised when we checked in and got to our room. For the price,,,wow a full suite with living room, dinning room , full kitchen and a separate bedroom. The living rrom and dining area was huge. The bedroom was very nice. The sofa is not like the ritzs, but is nice, the decor very good and the bed very comfortable. I cannot say anything bad about the place. My spouse even said that if we were to get a condo in Ottawa it it could be very similar to this place. We have stayed in several hotels in the Ottawa area in the past, this is not the fairmont, but it is much bigger and even tho we do not use the kitchen area is is great to feel like you are in an condo not a room.
I would defienetly stay here again and would recomend this place without hesitation.

What a wonderful surprise to actually get more than expected. The reviews made it an easy choice and it turned out to be all that and more. This hotel is well situated in downtown. Clean, updated, comfortable and quiet hotel, and large modern suites with all the amenities, and friendly, helpful staff. We (2 adults + 2 teenagers) were going to the Capital city for only one night. We were upgraded to 2-bedroom suite. Nothing was missing. Home away from home at an incredibly affordable price. Got great deal through Hotels.com. The only small "complaint" (but it seems to be the norm in Ottawa) is to pay for parking. We will be going back to Albert at Bay, our new home away from home.
