This hotel is undergoing a major renovation so bear that in mind. The location is great, 10 minutes walk from Parliament and on all major bus routes such as the airport bus. My room was not renovated but was still very comfortable and had everything I needed. Everything was clean and the toiletries in the bathroom were really good. I did not hear any noise from the renovations but it was a bit of an annoyance to have the lobby, entrance, etc... chopped up and under construction. The staff put on a smiling face though and was always helpful with giving directions, suggestions, etc... I didn't have time to use any of the hotel facilities. They catered our meeting and their food was to a good standard. Once the renovations are done I'm sure it will be a great place to stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Delta Ottawa City Centre during the NHL All Star weekend. I must say I was a bit apprehensive with all the negative reviews posted here. I needed not have worried since I ended up in a renovated room on the 20th floor. The renos are coming along quite well & the room was awesome. Very modern & had all the amenities one needs for business or pleasure. Admittedly the bathrooms are tiny however the space is used to the maximum, the tubs have been eliminated & replaced by a glass enclosed shower & all the fixtures & vanities have been updated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Apparently the tradesmen are working their way down from top to bottom (they are on the 12th floor as of end of January 2012) and expect to have all the guest rooms completed by the end of March. I heard no work related noises from my room. The Health club/Fitness centre/pool was closed for renovations (although you can use the facilities at The Marriott across the street). Apparently everything will be complete by early summer 2012.

The staff were excellent--special mention to Stephen at the Front Desk & Gordon in Room Service. Also it seemed that everyone had a smile & a Hello to all the Guests--nice touch.

Special Note: As of Feb. 1st, 2012, this will be the only Delta in Ottawa, as the original Delta (across the street) is no longer a Delta property.

I had the pleasure of staying in one of their newly renovated rooms a couple nights ago. They have done an excellent job with the renos, the room was beautiful! The desk was spacious and sleek with all sorts of cords for you to plug into (didn't need them so other than the Internet cable not sure what the others were for). The bed was super comfortable with nice pillows. The only minor complaint I have is that the bathroom was tiny. But it was also very nicely redone with a large shower instead of a tub.

Please note that the hotel is still under renovations, I left quite early in the morning so didn't hear anything, but I guess the possibility is there. They said reins should be done in March.

Stayed here from Dec 11th-13th 2011, hotel was still under renovations. The first morning I was woken up @ 8am by the loud banging or jack hammering going on several floors above. Was on a conference call and was asked what was going on, it was so loud. Was moved for the 2nd night but jack hammering still woke me up at 8am. The rooms I stayed in weren't that great, very old and dingy. The faucet in the room for the 2nd night was broken and rusted out... was horrible! Hopefully this place gets the 3.5* rating AFTER the renovations, defintely not worth it yet!
