“Good value when needing something simple”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I would not recommend this room if your trying to make an impression on your date.
Check-in is very slow, everytime and takes about 10 min.

Rooms and furniture are outdated, location is in middle on nothing (near jane/finch and highway 400) so unless you want to catch the 400, location is terrible.
Rooms are decently clean however, no bugs, no stains, ok lighting.

Good if you just need a place to stay for 1 night or if you need a room for a few hours as they have slighly cheaper day rates (like 11am to 4pm) for about $69.

Room Tip: Give yourself a lot of time at check-in since they're slow. Also have day-rates if you need a ro...

“HORRID EXPERIENCE IN ALL WAYS!!!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

This is the WORST hotel I've ever seen/been to. The staff was not ANY help. They charged my room on 2 of my credit cards! The room was freezing & the heater was noisy & after 20 min running only put out mildly warm air. The hall down to our room smelled like heavy use of disinfectants, cleaners, air fresheners. When looking under the sheets, we found gray-black smears...evidence of bed bug poop. I have asthma & started coughing severely shortly after arriving @ this hotel. I used my inhaler without any relief. I couldn't stop deep, heavy coughing...to the point that I felt like I might vomit. I was afraid that if I stayed much longer, I would need to see a doctor/go to a hospital. The "general manager" was no help, either. After finding another hotel to stay at, we checked out in less than a total hour. When we returned home (12/5/11) I started to try to call the general manager& the 2 credit cards to get the charges removed. On 12/6/11, I made 3 calls to talk to the general manager (Raman Rajendra) & each time he assured me he would "call me back" in a certain time period. He failed to return any of my calls. It was then that I called the corporate headquarters for the Comfort Inn Hotel chain....Choice Hotels & spoke to a gentleman who listened to my complaints & total dissatisfaction with this branch of the Comfort Inn hotels. It has taken me from 12/6/11 to today (12/12/11) to finally get the charges from my 2 credit cards removed. I would not want my dog or cat to have to endure the conditions at this Comfort Inn. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT PLAN TO STAY @ THE COMFORT INN @ 66 NORFINCH DRIVE IN THE TORONTO AREA. The city listed could be either "Downsview" (as stated on the general manager's business card) or "North York" where the corporate offices have it listed! WHAT A HORRID, AWFUL, PLACE WITH UNCARING STAFF & GENERAL MANAGER. Avoid this place, unless you enjoy bed bug bites, excessive coughing, sleeping in the cold with only a thin blanket & NO help from the staff!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: This is possibly the WORST hotel I've EVER been to. 1st, I made reservation on-line, gave them...

“Barely Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

For starters, this isn't in "North York" it's in the Jane & Finch neighborhood. I felt that needed to be mentioned.

Very basic amenities, breakfast was a cereal bar, simple but sufficient.

Normally, I wouldn't review a place as basic as this, but I felt I needed to mention that the front desk staff (I think who we dealt with was a manager) was very rude and abrupt. He treated us like we were jerks before we said got to say "hello", and other staff ignored us completely. With the amount of hotels/motels within driving distance of this CI, I won't stay here again.

“Clean motel, good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

Cons: Slllooooowwwww check-in. No elevator to the second floor. Not great locks on the ground floor patio doors.
Pros: good quality sheets, lots of pillows, good towels, no signs of bugs, in room mini fridge, in room coffee maker.
The shower wall grout was water-stained. But water stained isn't mildew. Didn't bother me but might bother others.
Breakfast was above the very low expectations I have for hotel free breakfast. Fresh bagels, fresh danish, couple of types of cereal, big bowl of boiled eggs that I always wonder how old. The coffee was fresh and there were a few different varieties.
Morning check out was very fast and very capable. What a pleasant contrast from the night before.
