We stayed at Williams Gate January 20-22 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were on the main floor with two bedrooms. On arrival we were met by our host, Anca who was very friendly and helpful.
Walking through the door the first sensation was warmth and homey. Anca keeps the rooms spotless, the beds were very inviting and as you walk in you immediately feel at home.
Not sure what she uses but the aroma in the rooms, beds and towels were so clean and fresh. I didn't want to get out of bed. Very cozy.
There is a gas fireplace in the livingroom which was nice to warm up to after walking downtown for the Icewine festival. Also there is WIFI, a small tv and a selection of movies you can put on if you are staying in.
On the first night Anca asks when you would like breakfast. She lives on the lower level and has an entrance to the dining area. Right on time each morning she delivered a warm and delicious breakfast. The food was excellent and plentiful. We had trouble eating it all but managed to anyway, especially the apple pancakes yum.. The breakfast was so hearty you can skip lunch or just get something light in town.
We were really impressed with her service and really felt that she goes out of her way to ensure you have a lovely visit.
This was our second visit to a B and B in NOTL, we enjoyed this one more as the set up was so nice. It is a short walk to the downtown which gives you a little exercise and a chance to look at some lovely homes.
We are planning to return possibly in the spring or July 1 time frame for the WAR of 1812 reenactment and 200th year anniversary. I would not hesitate to stay with Anca again.
Thanks for a great weekend Anca.
