We have just returned from another (I think it was our 10th) visit to the best bed and breakfast in Niagara on the Lake, Applewood Hollow. The best because the accomodations are beautiful, the hosts are wonderful people and the food is out of this world. When you have eaten breakfast at Applewood Hollow, lunch that day is usually not required.

This is a great spot for a romantic get away for two as well as a great base for a pair of couples enjoying winery tours. There is a well lit common area for breakfast, visiting and card playing as well as ample room in the individual suites for privacy.

We will be back soon for our next visit. If you are looking for a break, don't miss out on this treat close enough to the wineries and town for the tasting and shopping and yet far enough away to experience the quiet solitude of country living. We have no hesitation in recommending Applewood Hollow for what it provides: a weekend of rest, comfort and joy.

Stayed at Applewood Hollow B&B in early July for five nights. Wonderful setting with beautiful gardens and ponds.The owners, Jane and Brian, are most gracious hosts and very willing to share their knowledge of the history and points of interest in the local area. Breakfasts are fantastic with items often made from fresh local produce. Rooms have private entrances and are nicely decorated. A deck provides a shaded, serene setting to enjoy the gardens and pond.

My Wife and I planned a small get away to Niagara on the Lake at Applewood Bed and Breakfast. It was a great experience. Idyllic setting ...Breakfasts were amazing..Best coffee I've ever had....The owners, Brian and Jane Andres, were very hospitable. They were very helpful , on where and what to do. I'd recomend Applewood B&B . I will be going back there soon.. My wife and I had a very relaxing time..

It's easy to see that this place is a labour of love for the owners! Two well proportioned, tastefully lit and decorated loft suites have decks that look out over an amazing array of shade producing trees and shrubs, a delight to city weary eyes and spirits! The twisted willow is a must se! When they built here, 20 years ago, this place was a barren acre! For this reason alone a visit is recommended but, of course, there is it's proximity to wineries, fine dining, the Shaw Festival and many other attractions while maintaining a country quiet setting. History buffs will warm to Jane's knowledge. Of course, there's the chickens and, not to mention, the great food!
