If you are a young foreigner (or foreign couple) visiting the Niagara area, have fun! Therefore, AVOID this B&B!
My girlfriend and I were travelling Ontario and, up to this point, were very much pleased with the friendliness of the people in Canada. We found this B&B via the visitor centre at a reduced rate. Arriving at the B&B, ths is what struck us:
1. It is NOT in town, but a good ways away from the centre.
2. the aforementioned lady of the house (an Irish woman) immediately took a condescending tone with us, "teaching" us proper etiquette for Canada ( I am a Canadian citizen, my girlfriend is not) and reprimanding me for my parking skills ("did you not SEE the parking spaces?"). This before any form of greeting.
3. She had the audacity to then tell us that "of course" breakfast was not included in the negotiated price (It's a Bed AND Breakfast!). She could, however, give us a breakfast for CAD 10/person. Coffee would be 5 CAD (seriously, I can't make this up).
4. the bedroom was clean enough, but the bathroom was a joke: shaky airconditioning, shower from the 70s. and don't get me started on the mattresses on the bed... (yellow room)
Because it was late, we both swallowed our outrage, and were gone by 8 the following morning.
So: AVOID. please.
