“Outstanding B&B with top notch hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2010

Ray was simply an outstanding house - always on hand to make local recommendations and even for a fascinating chat about his life, travels and views of the world but never forcing anything on you - being able to melt into the background if appropriate. The room was spacious and comfortable with nice ensuite and walk-in wardrobe in the lovely tastefully decorated old house in a convenient location. If that's not enough, the highlight has got to be the effort Ray puts into breakfast. We told Ray that one of us was a veggie and neither of us were "big fry-up" people - no problem he said. We were expecting standard continental fare - and yes we did get that but more than that - each day there was a special treat ranging from warm poached pear with coulis to straight-out-of-the-oven scones, muffins and veggie quiche. Oh and don't forget the waffles with maple syrup - outstanding.

“The Best of Everything in a B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2009

This was my second stay at the Wilson-guy House B&B. It's location is ideal for Shaw Festival theater-goers -- it's right around the corner from the Royal George Theatre and easy walking distances from the other theatres.

The inn keeper, Ray, is a charming, delightful host. He so willingly accommodates any requests: a pot of tea, a dinner reservation, information about Niagara-on-the-Lake, information about the plays, etc. He is also an excellent cook! The breakfasts were not only delicious, but so attractively served too.

The B&B has all the special touches of a great cozy place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Niagara-on-the-Lake.

“Outstanding Bed and Breakfast”

My family and I highly recommend this delightful bed and breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We stayed for three nights and found our hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Guy, to be extremely helpful, warm, and friendly. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious and the post-prandial conversations were stimulating, informative, and fun. Mr. and Mrs. Guy seemed to have mastered the art of offering just the right amount of hospitable assistance without disrupting a guest’s wish for privacy. The Guys are unbelievably resourceful in obtaining theater tickets and restaurant reservations. Based on our experience, we strongly suggest following their recommendations for choice of restaurants no matter how much research you have done on desirable locations prior to your arrival. The nearly 200-year-old home was quite comfortable. It has all of the modern conveniences and has been tastefully redecorated. In fact, the house has been described in several architectural publications. It is a short walk to all of the Shaw Festival venues. The Royal George Theater, for example, is only one half of one block away.
