“Wonderful, romantic getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

My husband booked a weekend getaway for us at the Harbour House Hotel the first weekend in February. From the moment we arrived, we were met with amazing hospitality and escorted to the most beautiful room with an oversized king bed, fireplace, whirpool tub and view of the harbour! The suite was decorated with a nautical theme and there we too many attentions to detail to mention. We had a wine tour included that was fabulous and very informative. We loved our dinners at both ZEES and the Charles Inn. The shuttle was very convenient and the breakfast served each morning was delicious with many tasty treats! If you are looking for a wonderful, romantic getaway, you MUST try the Harbour House Hotel!!

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite was perfect for a second honeymoon!

“' Our overnight stay was just AWESOME!!!!!'”

We stayed overnight at the Harbour House Hotel for the first time and we will definitely be back again in the Spring. The staff were excellent and the room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. It's a nice short walk to the main street shops and activities. We specifically booked the Dining Package and our meal at The Charle's Inn was just amazing. Our server Martin treated us like royalty!! All I can say is that anyone planing to stay in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area will not be dissappointed with the Harbour House !!

“Intimate, Stylish Inn in a Lovely Setting”

We spent two nights at the Harbour House Hotel in January. The property is located across from the marina and the Niagara River. The pretty town of Niagara on the Lake is an easy walk and includes quaint shops and superior restaurants. We were upgraded to a suite when the room we requested was not available due to off season painting of rooms. The room had a living room with a fireplace and flat screen t.v. in addition to a comfy chair and desk. The area was stylishly decorated with a nautical theme. The separate bedroom had a feather mattress and a down duvet which was airy, but warm. An additional t.v. was in that area. Our massive windows overlooked the river. A romantic extra was the double jetted tub, complete with a candle, wine glass and rubber ducky! The entire staff was accommodating, informative and courteous. Each afternoon, wine and potted cheese was available and in the morning, a scrumptious breakfast was provided. Carol, our server, was delightful!
This hotel is one of the best we have found.

Room Tip: Upper level rooms have a better view of the river.

“Winter Overnight Stay at Harbour House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We stayed overnight at the Harbour House hotel Dec 28/29 as part of the Best Dining package. It was our first stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

From start to finish, the service, staff, accommodations, everything was perfect to the smallest detail. Upon arrival, my partner and I were by courteous and knowledgeable staff. A personalized note with cookies was in the room waiting for us. The mood was set with jazz music playing on the radio as we entered the room. We booked the Superior room and requested the double jacuzzi tub. The room included a gas fireplace. Dinner was at Charles Inn; the shuttle ride over and back, the driver was fantastic and in a great mood. Breakfast at the Conservatory area, great service from the staff, amzaing layout of fresh fruits, pastries, homemade jams, freshly brewered coffees. Parking was plentiful at the Harbour House hotel.

This trip was wonderful. I'm giving it a 10, and I can't wait to go back in the summer.

“Our mini-winter get-away ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We are avid Ontario Finest Inn travellers and decided to try a new one for a mini get away after the Christmas holidays. The Harbour House Hotel Inn was a wonderful experience as it is a quaint hotel-inn near the Niagara River, harbour and the historical town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The hotel staff welcomed us with grace and friendliness. I was impressed that we were escorted to our room after we registered. An extremely accommodating hotel staff as they were willing to assist with all our queries. The room was very clean, inviting with a fireplace and it provided us with a restful break. We had a nice view of the harbour. We enjoyed the wine and cheese gathering they offered and it allowed us to banter with other guests. We had the breakfast/dinner package which did not disappoint. Prior to our dinner reservations at the Charles Inn, we took a brisk winter walk through the historical Niagara-on-the Lake downtown which invigorated us. We dined at the Charles Inn. Bruce was our shuttle bus driver who was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the local history of Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Charles Inn. Dinner at the Charles Inn was very good and the 3 course meal left us quite full and quite satisfied ... more than satisfied! The breakfast was provided in their breakfast room which I found inviting and welcoming. I loved the decor. The breakfast fare was served continental style. The breakfast selections very good and did satisfy our palette. Service was attentive but relaxed which you would like to experience rather than feeling rushed. All in all, the Harbour Hotel Inn was a pleasant experience and we will return for our next get-away! It is a great hotel-inn to share with your spouse, girl-friends and family. A nice way to end of the two week Christmas holiday! Back to work on Monday!

Room Tip: Based on our room ... I believe all the rooms will be a 'good' room. Check their website and...
