We stayed here recently for a weekend getaway. The house was quite nice and impeccably kept. Like some other reviewers, we were a little puzzled by the very limited check-in policy but we were able to arrived during a regular check-in time, so it was no problem, but I wouldn't say I felt like they were going out of their way to be accommodating.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly and the orientation was truly perfect -- just enough time spent to point out the directions to the main street, just enough time to show us around the house and to our room, but not so long that we were trying to end the conversation. The room itself was very nice. It didn't compare to say, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, but I think reviewers on these forums need to keep in mind the venue that they were enjoying. For a B&B in a house that dates back nearly 200 years, situated in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, we were generally pleased. We did notice that the gas fireplace in the room seemed pretty feeble, and two of the recessed lights in the ceiling weren't working... certainly not a huge deal but I'll admit that we were disappointed, given the price we paid for the room.
Breakfast was fantastic... but it's worth noting that the start time is prompt! If you arrive 10 minutes late, you'll clearly be the "oh you're coming?" people The food was fantastic and made for a great start to a day of enjoying the region. Also, the location is fantastic for Niagara-on-the-Lake... truly just a few blocks into the heart of the town.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay... I'll admit that, for the price, I would be inclined to look at other options in the future, but if you are looking for comfortable and relaxing accommodations, I wouldn't hesitate to make a reservation here.
