Stayed at the Angel Inn for one night on a couples weekend getaway. This was the perfect spot: Niagara on the lake, close to the wineries for tours, we could walk down to the shops, and an amazing pub downstairs!

I also really enjoyed the rooms, we stayed in the 'Captains Room', which had updated bathrooms, but you could really see how old the building was by the floors, the trim etc. A lot of character to this Inn!

When we were in Niagara on the lake, we did a ghost tour which informed us that the Angel Inn was haunted by the Captain (of course the room that we stayed in!) and gave some history about the Inn, which was really cool since we were staying there (and spend enough time at the pub, you forget that it may be haunted!). I would recommend the walk if you're staying here for sure!

The hotel was actually run by the people at the pub downstairs, which actually worked out fine - they gave us everything we needed (we asked for wine glasses and a corkscrew which they gladly gave from the bar area), and in the evening after you've wined and dined, you can go right upstairs! convenience convenience!

We went for lunch on our road trip to NOTL. I ordered the Chicken + Peaches pot pie...so disappointing.
Two huge chunks of chicken (which were tasty) should have been cut in small pieces for easier eating since the are under a crust. The crust was a little tough and the sauce a bit gluey. Too many fries and tasteless peas also served. A little pricey at $13.99 which I wouldn't have minded if it had tasted sublime.

So many other fine restaurants to choose from and we blew it.

service was absolutly bad, waited over an hour to be served our food. local,s or regulars served first a disgusting example of an english pub.

My wife and I ate in the inn for dinner. She got the trout special and I got the Steak and Guiness pie. We were both happy with our meals. My steak pie was very tasty and had a good portion. We went early in the day 5:30 and when we left it was full. I suggest that you make reservations.

Across Queen street is a little pastry shop named Nina gelato and pastry sho. You have to go there for dessert and get the chocolate torte. It is to die for. The other desserts looked wonderful.
