“Highly Recommended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2006

Heather is a very organized & welcoming hostess. When we telephoned to book a room, she made an excellent impression and followed through with an informative email with confirmation and clear directions on locating the B&B. The site is on a 7-acre wooded lot around the corner from Strewn Winery and less than a 10-minute drive from mainstreet N-O-T-L.

The "Serenity Suite" has a private coded deadbolt entrance and many ammenities for the guests, including a great deep airtub, small TV, bar fridge, & loveseat couch. The mattress was very comfortable and the linens are of a high quality. The room was impeccably clean upon our arrival.

The breakfasts were imaginative and tasty both mornings during our stay and the hostess was very accomodating to the needs of her guests.

We paid (by VISA) $150 per night + 6% GST (double), which seemed to us a bit expensive for a B & B. However, accomodations in Niagara-On-The-Lake can be priced much higher, so relatively speaking, this is a fair value. We would be quite happy to stay here on any future visit.

One note for the climate-sensitive traveller: The air conditioning is a touch on the cool side at times - probably due to the guest rooms being located on the lower level of the house - the venting for the ductwork is located directly overhead in bed and it does create a low background "white noise" when the blower is operating.

  • Liked — Great deep air tub & breakfasts with Heather
  • Disliked — Nothing

Stayed at Palatine Hill whilst traviling with my family to cananda for my muns 60th Birthday. Heather could not be more accommodating, my nephew is a very pickey eater and Heather did her best to provide a breakfast he would eat. He also loved the whirlpool bath could'nt get him out of it. Would recommend this place to anyone and would stay again myself. Fantastic

“Great place to relax”

This is the second year in a row that my husband and I have stayed at the Palatine Hill B&B. We have booked our reservations for next year as well. The location is only a few miles from downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake; in fact you can ride your bikes comfortably to downtown. The B&B is located in a wooded area with many walking trails and has a gazebo to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors.

The hosts, Heather and Dennis Kennedy, are the most wonderful people. They have welcome us into their home for the past two years and have made us feel like extended family. We stay for a week each year and everyday is a different breakfast. The breakfasts always have fresh fruit, breads or muffins (freshly baked), and a main dish of pancakes, eggs benedict, french toast, etc.

There are three rooms at the B&B; each with its own bathroom. Two of the rooms have outside entries so as not to disturb the other guests. The rooms are situated such that you don't hear any of the guest or house noise. The Serenity room is the largest of the three (and the one we have stayed in) there is plenty of room to spread out and relax.

The Palatine Hill B&B provides the perfect balance of location, amenities, and personality to allow its guests to truly relax and enjoy the Niagara Region.

“Absolutely Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2004

My husband and I loved our stay at Palatine Hill B&B. Heather and Dennis went out of their way to welcome us and make certain that we enjoyed our stay with them. The room was immaculate and nicely decorated. Upon check-in, Heather gave us a map of the area and reviewed "hot spots" to visit. She recommended wineries, places to eat and was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us. Heather also inquired at that time if we had any food allergies or dislikes for certain foods so that she could prepare for breakfast the next day. The breakfast was "out of this world"! We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.....I am certain you will be pleased. Thanks for making our 10th anniversary a romantic and memorable celebration!
