The Kellar House at Niagara-On-The-Lake is a favorite of many guests, close enough to downtown to walk and the lovely house makes it easy to pretend you live there. This was our second romantic getaway at Niagara-On-The-Lake and the room filled in all the gaps for a nice romantic atmosphere. It's a good choice for almost any kind of trip. However, compared to other Bed & Breakfasts, it was a little on the steep side. That being said though, the room was nicely decorated with a contemporary mix of furniture and kept very clean and tidy. Our hosts were very friendly and wonderful, it was clear they were prepared to do everything possible to make our stay most enjoyable. The morning breakfast was good and the accommodation was equally great. They were quite accommodating in recommending places to dine, sites to see and even providing assistance with their printer. :-)
The Hot tub by the fireplace was perfect for relaxing and dozing off. We will most definitely come back for another getaway and highly recommend the Kellar House to anyone out there looking for any kind of trip.

Our first time staying at a B&B, and if they are all like the Kellar House there will be plenty more in our future. From the moment we arrived, earlier then check-in time, Ed and Rhonda were very gracious hosts. They let us park there and go on our wine tour while they got the room ready, When we finally got in the room we were very pleased with everything. The room was perfect, and the fireplace beside the jacuzzi made it an anniversary I wont soon forget. The room has a seperate entrance then the main house which was great for the late nights that we were out. If you are looking for that perfect getaway spot thats close to town but just far enough away for the privacy I would highly recommend staying at the Kellar House

Our perfect private room had everything we needed with many little extras. Clean, comfortable and classy, Ed and Rhonda, we'll be back.

This was our first trip to Niagara-on-the-lake. We stayed at Kellar House for two nights. Kellar House is a 2 room B&B. We stayed in the Red Room which is a suite with kitchenette and two person jaccuzzi. We were greated by one of the owners Rhonda who provided maps of the area and some reccomendations as to which wineries we should be visiting (main purpose of our trip). The suite is very well equiped (dishes, cutlery, wine and champaign glasses, etc) and the continental breakfast that was set up in our fridge allowed us to have breakfast at our convenience :o) The breakfasts were very tasty and offered a nice variety of food each day.
Ed, Rhonda's partner in life and in business had suggested that we make dinner reservations ahead of time. We dined at Stone Road Grill the first night witch is a small restaurant located in a strip mall. The food was great. We had a nice assortment of wine pairing and were very happy with the nice quiet table that had been reserved for us. Our waitress made some suggestions as to some of the wineries that she felt stood out from the rest and we visited them the next day on our bicycles.
The B&B is located on Mary Street and a bike path runs along the street.and continues between Niagara Parkway and the Niagara River. It was a great way to combine sightseeing and exercise :o)
The second night, we treated ourselves to a fabulous tasting menu with wone pairing at Charles Inn (at $350 per couple after tax and tip it was somewhat of a pricey dinner for our buidget but the memories of that night are priceless).
We also did a bit of shopping on Queen St. (7 minute walk from our B&B) and enjoyed nice long walks in the more quiet streets of the neighborhood.
All in all a great week-end alone with my spouse :o)
