“Highly recommend Butler Creek Hot Tubs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

I took my wife up for a couple days to Niagra on the lake to enjoy a little wine tasting for Valentines day weekend. Linda from Butler Creek Hot Tubs was very accomadating. The B & B was quaint which my wife loved, and Linda provided the most friendly and comfortable atmoshphere during our stay. We had a choice between 5 different breakfast lineups(never had that before). We wouid Highly recommend Butler Creek Hot Tubs for a B & B if heading to Niagra on the Lake.

“5 STARS!!! LOOK NO FURTHER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2011

If you want to have a relaxing vacation where you are treated like special guests in a stunning house that you'll soon want to call your home away from home, then please look no further!!! Not only will Butler Creek B&B live up to your highest expectations, but it is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed at... and I have stayed at dozens of B&B all over the United States and Europe... but nothing comes close to the warmth, hospitality and charm of this house and its hostess!

My first visit to Butler Creek B&B was back in 2003 (for two weeks in April) and I have been a steady, annual customer ever since (coming in all seasons! It's beautiful any time year!). First, there's the hostess, Linda Jeffries. She is by far the friendliest, funniest most helpful B&B hostess you'll ever have the pleasue to meet. Linda clearly loves people and loves her job because she not only offers service with a smile and will accommodate your every need, but she has spared no expense when it comes to making her guests feel welcome and pampered. This includes ultra modern suites (not bedrooms, but gorgeous suites!) equipped with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a fireplace, sitting room and super comfy beds with plush pillows and fresh linens. The bathrooms (with jacuzzi!) are spotless and loaded with toiletries and plush towels.

Not only is Linda a cheerful hostess, but she's an excellent cook who will make sure you do not leave her breakfast table hungry. (Her menu includes your choice of eggs, bacon, toast, waffles, pancakes, freshly baked muffins and fresh fruit and granola with a huge variety of special teas and coffee.) While you're eating breakfast, you will look out onto a gigantic private treed back yard with a huge deck complete with hot tub that is a must!!! The house itself is stunning. I call it 'Tara' because it reminds of a mini Gone With The Wind southern plantation house. It is a beautifully appointed home accented with a black wrought iron fence and circular driveway, located at the end of a quiet street, next to a ravine and historical Niagara landmark. (It's so tranquil here... you'll sleep like a baby!)

As for proximity, you get the best of both worlds - it's located in the Olde Towne, just far enough away to be peaceful - but only a 10 minute walk to the main street with restaurants, shops and the famous Shaw Festival. A further 10 minute walk will take you to Fort George and the Niagara River, facing the USA. A short drive in any direction from Linda's house will take you to one of a dozen vineyards for a wine tour. (Linda has been a long time resident of NOTL and helps update the annual town map, so she knows about every business and landmark in town, which is why she can help you with all your sightseeing and outings, but she also has tons of vouchers for restaurants and wineries that she offers to guests to help save them some money. Once, when I was visiting, she had tickets to a Shaw Festival play that she couldn't use so she offered them to her guests for free!! She is truly so generous and kind hearted. You cannot ask for more.... but if you do ask for more, I promise she'll give it.)

I really cannot say enough about this place or Linda's hospitality. I also cannot imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else after staying here! This is a gem of a place. Once you come, I promise you will be a lifetime customer like me. But don't take my word for it... take some time to read the rest of the trip advisor reviews of this place. There isn't a bad thing anyone can say because Linda makes sure your stay here is special. More importantly, when you leave you will feel like it's your home, too, which is why you'll come back, because Linda will make you feel welcome in your home away from home.

“A delightful stay in every aspect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

We stayed for 3 nights at Linda Jeffries cozy bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Tara Suite on the lower level with it's own bath, jacuzzi tub and adjoining 2nd bedroom. There is a gathring room with fireplace on the same level and and lovely gazebo and hot tub off the spacious kitchen. Linda made everything even better with her bright, informative and helpful personality, not to mention, she cooked us a full and sumptuous breakfast every morning to our order! The B & B is located in a lovely residential neighborhood, only a short walk to the Lake with golf courses nearby for the golfers in our group. The town is beautiful offering superior entertainment in theater, restaurants, shops and beautiful wineries to be explored. The falls are only a short drive away, and along the way are lovely opportunities for picnics in picturesque parks. I highly recommend the experience of staying with Linda Jeffries in her Butler Creek B & B!

“Gateway to heaven explains Butler Creek Hot Tubs.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

No tips or guidlines needed, just go to Butler Creek Hot Tubs, you will not be disappointed. I and my family can not say enough regarding Ms Jeffries home, her full course breakfast ,(we did not eat again until evening dinner)her genuine personality that had us laughing whole heartedly. The rooms were a lovely size and you could dance in one of the bathrooms. As a matter of fact, I did. The ambiance was second to none and the comfort was A-1. If you want the best B&B owner and Hostess, you must meet Linda Jeffries, it was my first time and I knew as soon as I spoke to her on the telephone that I had hit the jackpot.

Sincerely,
Cate Mac Neil

“home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

Two of my friends decided to go to the Shaw Festival and stay over. We each wanted our own beds and although I emailed several b&bs, Linda was the only one who replied. Originally we had four and when we dropped to three, Linda was still able to give us the Tara Suite. This meant that we each had our own room and shared two bedrooms between the three of us. When I had looked at the pictures, I didn't believe that there would be a sitting room as well. I thought that it was the sitting room for everyone. Wrong. We had three bedrooms, two baths and a living room. We had a full refrigerator, a table and chairs, a variety of teas and coffees, as well as cold drinks and hot chocolate. We were secluded in our own little world. There was no-one around us and it felt like we were in one of our own houses. There were all the comforts of home and yet we were far from home and someone else was going to clean and cook for us. How perfect.
Linda provided a delicious breakfast where we had an amazing array of choices. She introduced us to the other guests who all had been there before. She started us off by introducing us and then quietly prepared breakfast while we had a lovely chat with the other guests.
Linda provided restaurant reservations and recommended several wineries to tour. She even provided us with coupons for free tours and wine tastings.
My friends and I felt that we had gone far away from home even though we were only hours from home. Linda made us feel that we were special guests in her home, while providing us with total privacy. She was organized and helpful. We are all singing her praises as well as recommending her bed and breakfast.
The home is minutes from downtown Niagara-on-the-lake, but it is the last house on a quiet street that ends in a quiet forest. You can bicycle around the town or walk along peaceful paths .
All of us would recommend the Butler Creek B &B and are looking forward to returning soon.
