As 2 couples traveling to Niagara on the lake to experience a harvest lunch at one of the local wineries, we wanted to have a place to hang our heads at night in preparation for a day full of wine intake. Although neither of us had stayed at any Bed and Breakfast before, we booked into the "Tara Suite" after reading some great reviews about Linda and the Butler Bed and Breakfast.
Upon arrival we met with our very outgoing and knowledgeable host Linda who warmly welcomed us into her home and out of the blistery winter weather outside. Throughout our stay I was consistently impressed with the level of service and attention to detail that Linda provided to both myself and the friends I was traveling with.
In addition to each having separate ensuites attached to our bedrooms (which were spacious and fitted with very comfortable queen beds), we also had use of a shared living room with a lovely fireplace, small tv and fridge which proved handy during our visit. In the late afternoon we were able to take advantage to the amazing outdoor hot tub before heading out to one of the nearby hotels for dinner later on.
Breakfast in the morning was a great spread that included fruit, yogurt, granola, banana bread and then a choice of several main courses. We all chose a rather standard bacon and eggs, and were very impressed with the quality of the meal.
Next time we will have to stay longer as we had a great time, just not a long enough time!
