It was our first trip to Niagara Falls and after a 6+ hour drive from NJ we were both so pleased and excited when we pulled up to the Kilpatrick Manor. It is located in a residential neighborhood roughly 1 mile from the falls. I had read some reviews that felt this was a negative, but I would have to disagree and say that the location was perfect! Close enough to all of the action but far enough away from the neon lights and crowds. The manor itself is stunning! All of the guestrooms are impeccably decorated and spotless! Trust me, I looked for dirt and couldn't find a single speck! We booked the McKinnon which is the smallest room (queen bed) and were surprised to see a very modern, very large rain shower in the bath! My husband and I both agree that we will be putting one of them in our master bedroom in the very near future! However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the breakfast and the owner Chef Kevin. Three of the best breakfasts I have ever had and one of the most interesting and genuinely nice person I have ever met! His passion for both food and the manor are clear in his presence and the presentation of the meal. The fruit plate alone is worthy of a 5 star rating! One of the other things that I really liked and found unique was that the dining room was set with 4 tables for 2 rather than one large table. I thought this allowed for both socializing with other guests, as well as intimate conversation with your significant other. The only negative of the entire property is that there is no common space other than the dining room. I did wander around and noticed that there is a large outside area...deck and yard that would be ideal for an outdoor space for guests, especially during the summer months to read, chat and enjoy some of NOTL great wine!
