“cheap stopover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2010

we stayed 1 night as we got in town a day earlier then expected. We were not willing to pay $200. for a room for 1 night, which is what every other hotel in town wanted for a Saturday night. We drove by and gave the Oasis a try. The exterior of the building looked good and recently refinished. The inside of the room was another story. Painted paneling which looked about to fall off the wall. Cracked tile in Bathroom It was old and dated but it was clean. The Air did pump out cool air but not enough to chill the air or eliminate old musty smell.

“Stay somewhere else....”

Not worth the money...pay a bit more to stay elsewhere! I stayed here with some friends for a weekend getaway. This motel is old, very dated, and falling apart...ugly floral comforters and curtains, wood paneling painted pink and coming off the wall, mold in bathroom, paint peeling off bathroom ceiling, holes in the wall, poorly patched holes in the walls, marks and dirt all over the walls.

The only good things about it are the location because it is very close to Clifton Hill, and there is free parking.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel. It is need of some major repairs and updating.

“Great place to Stay, steps to everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2009

Traveled in a large group for a Bachelor party and was very happy with the service and cleaniness of the New Owners of the Oasis Motel.
The 3 rooms we had accomodated 16 (2 family suites - 6/room, 1 standard Suite - 4/room) and were clean, had fresh towels, mini fridge and and AC that pumped cool air.
It was exactly what we expected for a motel.
One of our group left his camera on a outside window ledge one night and the owners took it in an dkept it at the front desk for us to pick up at check out.
The only complaint is that the pool was closed becuase of incident the previous weekend.
I would definately go back with another large group, but probably would not recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic weekend... dont think it stacks up for that purpose.

“Great Place to stay for a great price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2009

We arrived to the Oasis Motel after a terrifying drive through the Toronto Tornadoes.

It's a Motel, so what you see is what you get, but I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the night. There are new owners who have just taken over and are doing a great job, very polite and even kept the office open way later than expected because of the late travelers due to the storms. They even called us when we were in St. Catherines to make sure we were okay.
We decided to stay at this motel for an affordable option before staying at Great Wolf Lodge. I was traveling with my son, and two step children, and my best friend and her two kids. We rented a family room, where you walk into the room and it looks like the typical 2 queens with a tv and bathroom, but off to the left is a separate bedroom with a queen bed, a table and chairs, and fridge and microwave. This motel also offers a heated outdoor pool, very clean.
We were a block and a half (if even that) from Clifton Hill and all of the attractions that come with that, a 3-5 minute walk to Tim Hortons on Clifton Hill where we had breakfast.
The location of the Oasis Motel was great because of the kids and not having to walk very far. The motel was clean, quiet, and just what we needed.
I would definitely stay there over the other hotels that overlook the falls. My previous recent stay I was at the Embassy Suites, and it was overpriced and way too far of a walk. The Oasis was perfect.

“LESS THAN EXPECTED!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2009

My husband and I took our children to niagara falls for 2 nights, as we do every year. We like to stay somewhere inexpensive to use the money saved on attractions! We know what to expect from an inn or motel. But this was a shock, there was NO phone, phone book, clock or alarm clock, also NO remote for the T.V. when my husband inqiured about the remote he was told there was none as people take them when they leave. The next day they had purchased a universal remote which we had to set up ourselves (and turn in to the office upon check out!) There was also no wireless internet as stated, when owner questioned he offered the use of his iphone. Nice gesture but not exactly what we had in mind! Over all not a bad room neat and tidy. Carpets need a good cleaning when we walked bare feet our feet looked as though we walked outside barefoot!!! Beds clean, Bathroom clean but tub, sink were old and sratched (rusty around the drains). nothing to reflect on the cleaner!!! Loved the location. also pool not heated as claimed. and no waterbeds as web site indicated as well as their entrance signage!!! with all the empty "promises" I would not return. Sorry!!! If they didn't advertise all these perks I would have had nothing to complain about!!! lol
