I absolutely never book 1 Star hotels but we refused to be gouged on New Years Eve and pay $700 for the hotel we normally stay in for $120! So we booked a decent price to stay here for the night with another couple. First off, it is located well - right on Stanley Avenue near the Fallsview Casino and all the restaurants and hotels in that area... great for walking to that Casino district (5 minutes!) The hotel was cleaner than I had imagined and despite all the partiers that night, it was quiet and you could not hear people in the other rooms. The bathroom was larger than I thought it would be , and clean. Clean goes a long way! The staff were friendly and I cant really complain about one thing for the locatino and the price for New Years Eve... I will go back to my nicer hotels but would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value

Only stayed one night, but have stayed here a few times. It's great location. The bed was okay. Only slept 4 hours, but did not have any issues falling asleep. Once we checked in had a couple of issues with no soap and tv remote did not work. When we left for the night when we came back we had soap and tv remote was fixed. Overall the hotel was fine. I really like that they make you sign a waiver that if you smoke you pay $250. They also have you sign a waiver that if you do anything that disturbs the other customers you get one warning and then you be asked to leave, plus you will be charged $400. This assures that we can get a good night sleep without worrying about other people keeping us up. The hotel is an easy walk to the Falls and other attractions and lots of good places to eat are nearby.

That said, the bathtub grout had mold and there was mold along the grout outside the tub. I am allergic to mold so this can present a problem for me. We also saw two bugs, not bedbugs, but larger bugs. We accidentally unplug the alarm clock and the area around the plug was full of dust bunnies making me wonder how often they clean the areas that aren't visible. We found a very old pistachio on the floor near the head of the bed.

The management was very personable and responsive to our requests and questions.

Other than the fact that it could have been cleaned more thoroughly, I have would have no qualms about staying there again. Since we paid a couple of weeks before we arrived there really wasn't a way to check out the room and then go elsewhere. Next time, when staying in a hotel, I am going to check rooms more thoroughly when I first arrive so I can request a different room if the one I was given wasn't cleaned thoroughly.

My sister and I stayed here in early sept. Front desk was very helpful and gave us alot of information all at once. No lift to the rooms which was hard with heavy cases. Our room was very tired looking in decor and furnishings, but livable. Bathroom clean until you looked closer. a/c didn't really work well and was very very nosy, and as our window was a sealed one it made sleeping difficult. Beds OK, but pillows were foam and very lumpy and not nice. Ice machine on our floor not working which meant a trek to another floor if you wanted ice. Handy position for the falls and for breakfast next door.
