Well, it was an escape from my own city - Niagara is still pretty large...
We stayed just before christmas for one night as an escape from all the hustle and bustle that torments everyone at that time of year. We arrived around 6pm (parked at the Casino - saved $30.00) and walked over to the hotel, just a short 5 minutes away. The lobby was pretty contemporary, with TGI Friday, a Keg, and a gift shop all right there. Check-in was effortless, and they directed us to our room on the 15th floor. The room was exactly as described, a 2 room suite. The living room area had a kitchen table, a sofabed and a comfy chair, then you walk through a connector which housed the mini-fridge, a bar sink, coffee maker and microwave, as well as a bathroom sink and the door to the washrooms. The bedroom portion was large, and had an absolutely unparelleled view of the falls. There is no other view in Niagara that can compare. There is a TV, desk, closet and all the other standard amenities here. Pillows were great, bed was comfy. The bathroom had a 2 person whirlpool, another sink and a seperate toilet/stand-up shower area.
After getting ready, we hit up TGI Fridays which was okay - typical chain food. The only thing that was disappointing here was the length of time to be served. They said the kitchen was very backed up and offered us some drinks as compensation.
We went to the managers reception, but didn't stay long there, we went to the Casino for a while and that was it for the night.
The breakfast buffet is at The Keg, and it was phenominal! Everything, including the service, was fantastic!
I've booked my wife and her friends a night there next month as a surprise getaway. All told for the 3 people it's less than $200.00, which for Niagara is a great deal! We will be back again and again!
Room Tip: Fallsview rooms have a spectacular view!
