My wife and I visit for Wine Festival in Niagara region every November. We booked here this time based on price. Internet special was $69.95 per night + taxes of course. Last year we stayed at a Comfort Inn from the same chain so expected similar value. Not so as it turns out
. No continental breakfast- no food whatsoever- no restaurant . There is an Asian- Philipino eatery attached to the building- but there were pool tables inside besides the dining tables- so......... we gave it a pass. The hotel is also a good 30 minute walk from the Falls and fine dining is near the Falls, not in this section of town.
The front desk reception was polite but no enthuiasm whatsover. And that's on both days we were there.
We were given a room on the 4th floor. The elevator ( there are three) smelled like it was hauling garbage for two days. Gross! Mercifully the smell was gone by the next day.
The room was clean and tidy. Other disappointments were a burnt light in the wall sconce at the bed and a showerhead in the bathroom that only ran at a hard, pulsating pace.
The light was replaced the next day but the shower was " doctored" that way on all hotel units, we were told and therefore unadjustable.
King bed was comfortable, carpets clean ,large 42" LCD TV mounted on wall. Wifi in the room but weak signals the entire stay there.
Total for two nights was $185 tax in and that included a $10/ day parking charge.
We wont be back! We'll go back to Comfort Inn
