“A budget motel that's past its days”

We stayed here on a trip to Niagara Falls. The motel is located a few miles away from the Falls, perhaps a bit too far to walk but within decent distance if you have a car. It faces a busy street but the street noise wasn't bothersome from the inside.

The staff was friendly and they seemed to do their best to keep the place clean. Sadly, the place can't shake itself of the dinginess that comes with age. The sinks and toilets were stained and cracked, carpets were dingy, and the bathroom was poorly lit. The bed was old and had a large dent in the middle, and we had to fight from rolling toward the middle during the course of the night. Needless to say, we didn't sleep very well.

The place is not a bad option if you're on a tight budget and simply need a roof over your head for the night. Personally, I would pay a little extra for a better night's sleep. Also, we found that this motel is literally a few yards outside the service area for American cellphone coverage.

“Great but value for 60”

Stayed here one night and exceeded my expectations. Rooms were very clean, the decor a little outdated but no big deal. Unless you are already up the continental breakfast isn't much, so might as well sleep in and go out. So for the price it was way worth it. And it had free parking which in Niagara Falls, is very expensive any where from 9 to 15 dollars.
I would recommend seeing the Greg Frewin magic show, it is amazing!

“Good value, and decent location.”

We stayed here for 5 nights on vacation, and found it to be a relatively good value.

The room we booked a room had a very nice size jacuzzi. The room itself was nice, although the beds are a bit "springy". There is an indoor pool and whirlpool, both of which were quite nice. The staff at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. This hotel is a few miles from the Falls, but not a bad location.

Overall, we were pleased with this hotel, and would stay here again.

“Basic Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

This is your average basic hotel. Location is not at the Falls, but a short drive away. When we turned on the heater, flames come out of it.... it later turned out to be paper? or something that was caught in the heater. I guess it was the first time it was turned on in a long time. The owner was unconcerned, but did come look at it. Bed is average, comfort is average. Low cost average place. I would recommend only if you are looking for a bargin.

“Great value and friendly customer service!”

I went down to niagara falls this summer for the very first time with my girlfriend, daughter and some of my friends that live in the GTA. Prior to leaving for our vacation to Niagara I researched for a month of a decently priced hotel with no frills, which I stumbled accross this travelodge. We stayed here for 3 night @ 55.99/night and I must say, I would of paid more to stay here. The staff was extremely great, rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was always freindly every morning/afternoon. We never ate in the resturant because we brought our own food (we were on a budget) plus we tried some resturant/chains in the area we have never been to before. The pool, sauna and whirlpool was great, my daugther loved it!!. Theres an outdoor pool aswell, but we never used it. As for being close to everything, you're extremely close!! outlet mall you can actually see from the hotel. The Falls, Cliffton Hill, marineland... all within 5-10km drive.

There was only one issue that happen during our stay at the hotel was the boiler broken down in the hotel, so there was no water for most of the day, I might add they were very prompt at getting it fixed, and comp'ed us for the mini fridge we rented for the inconvenience. I would stay here again and recommend anyone visiting niagara and can't afford the big hotel prices down by the falls... STAY HERE!!
