“Very convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I stayed at the Hilton on Feb 10, 2012. The room I had was a king suite in the North Tower and it was fantastic - perfect for a couple or business trip. It was a corner suite and had a view of the falls. Very clean and quiet. The jacuzzi tub was fantastic. Although I was a little disappointed that they don't included bubble bath in the room. We had dinner at Brasa which was very good but I preferred the Copacabana for Brazilian food and better atmosphere. The breakfast was at the Grand Cafe in the lobby and was your traditional breakfast - nothing special. Was a bit of a maze to get through but I think it makes for a very organized delivery. The casino is very nice and large. The were several slots and the tables were all booked up so you may have to get there early or very late. Everything you need is accessible from inside the building: restaurants, shops, casino and nightclub - which is very convenient. I would say its the best place to stay in Niagara.

Room Tip: North Tower is Non-smoking, South Tower is smoking

“Hotel was okay, but I won't stay here again”

I have been to Niagara Falls many times. I chose this hotel for its location, fallsview room and walk way to Casino. As soon as we pulled up to the valet, I was a little apprehensive. The valet told us to leave the car running and they would get to it. We were really nervous about leaving it running unattended so we stood in the doorway and waited several minutes before an attendant came to get the vehicle. The front desk staff were not very friendly. The clerk checked us in, handed our keys and said we were all set. I asked about the meal vouchers that our room came with, and she sighed and said, "okay I will print them for you" (yeah...that would help!) Our jacuzzi room was on the 24th floor of the south tower. Decent view of the falls, if you looked out the corner of the window, since the Casino was looming directly in front of the window. The room appeared clean, but the furniture looked like it was from a garage sale. The coffee table and desk laminate was cracked and peeling off. The jacuzzi was located next to the bed (in the bathroom) with shutter type doors that opened into it. This totally cut out any privacy in the bathroom. Now some people who want a jacuzzi room may not care about privacy but when using the rest room, the person in the bedroom could see and hear everything (sorry but not very romantic). The doors seemed pointless because if you have them open while in the jacuzzi, the only thing you can see across the room is the casino building. The room itself was quite noisy. It seemed like you could hear every toilet flushing and every time the shower ran. The beds were comfortable though.
The pool was quite large, with a hot tub and two saunas, but it could definitely use some maintenance since the steps leading upstairs to exercise room and water slide (which was closed most of day) were moldy/rusty.

The Brasa steak house was the best part about the stay. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. The casino walkway was convenient, since it was February and it was convenient not to have to walk outside.

The total for two nights stay (with all the taxes and fees) was over $600. Next time I will find another hotel more worth the price.

“The North Tower is very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I was very impressed with the North Tower rooms. This is the newest wing of this hotel and it is worth the extra to stay there. This trip was for a work conference and everything thing went as it should, and I would definitely stay here again.

“Great stay but be prepared for some extra costs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My girlfriend and I stayed here on February 10, 2012 for an early valentines day getaway through a Jaunt offer that gave us a 2 bedroom suite on the 43rd floor of the North Tower, $40 voucher for the Brasa Steakhouse and breakfast at the Grand Caffe.

The view from the room was amazing, probably the best in Niagara Falls. The room was huge and a perfect choice if you are with another couple or your kids as there is a door between bedrooms for privacy and the shade comes down to the big bathroom thank-god. There is a very nice jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a shower but the water pressure in the shower isnt the greatest. The main bedroom has a very comfortable bed with good quality linens and blankets with a couch, reading desk, chair and a fireplace but its purely decorative, no heat comes out. A very nice plus was it has 2 flat screen tv's which is standard these days at most hotels BUT they also give a dozen or so HD channels which is not common. The reception comes from a US satellite provider Dish network. The hotel was apparantly full but we didnt hear any noise. We ate at the Brasa Brazillian Steakhouse and it was awesome. There is a buffet with about 70 items to choose from, seafood, salad and at your table you flip over a coaster and the waiters serve you from a skewer over 7 different kinds of meat, chicken, steak, sausages. It is a bit pricey though, with our $40 voucher it still cost us $93 with 2 drinks but it was delicious. We never ate at the Grand Caffee but went for brunch at an awesome restaurant on Lundy's lane called Mick and Angelos. Huge portions good quality food for a good price. Adam Richmond from Man vs Food was there.

Items that could be improved is that the room does not provide a fridge, if you want one you have to talk to housekeeping and depending on who you talked to the prices varied. In the winter dont sit too close to the window because you can feel some of the cold seep in. The Hilton is aware of this and posted in the room that they are in the process of recaulking all the rooms. You'll notice when you take a shower that water will spill out onto the floor through the space between the glass and the shower stall.

The extra costs I mentioned in the heading are if you want to use your smartphone, computer or tablet to surf on their wifi, its going to cost you $9/a day or $15 a week to use it which is way too much considering a lot of hotels offer this free.

If you are going to use their valet parking. Its going to run you $25 plus a $4 parking tax AND there is a $5 charge for some Niagara Falls entertainment fee or something like that, I guess its to pay for the fireworks on the weekend. If its busy like it was for us you'll waiting around 30mins or so for your car. Save yourself the cash and park behind Margaritaville which is diagonal from the hotel its $5 a day, a 5 min walk away. Thats what we are going to do next time.

Overall we had a great time and would come back.

Everything was first class, from the valet car parking to the beautiful bedroom with the wonderful view of Niagara Falls. We stayed on the 42nd floor.

Room Tip: Go for a Falls View room, it's worth the extra.......
