My Wife & I just stayed at this hotel over the weekend & it was our 4th time here. As usual the check-in was quick, the room was excellent & the breakfast buffet was phenomenal! We reserved a jacuzzi room & when we went to our room we found we had been upgraded to a room with a fireplace as well at no extra charge. A very pleasant surprise!

Stayed there December 2010... the room was not comfortable and the staff were unfriendly at the time of check in and checkout... there was a loud sound when neighbours shower turned on... the hot tub in the room was very nice along with the view... but the bed was not comfortable, we didn't get a good night sleep... the TV is tube technology and did not have the same standard as we are used to from other hotels.... Breakfast was really good... we got he voucher from travel zoo... the breakfast was included... when we are having breakfast the staff wouldn't let a mother with a child in as they were closing up.. she pleaded and said she had a rough morning and just wanted to pickup something to go... they turned her away... their regular close time was 11 but they were closing because it was holiday time... so that was unpleasant to watch....
Keg for dinner was very good... it seemed like it was a deal but turns out they do charge you for that voucher because the room was only 99$ the voucher for Keg was 35... we couldn't use the voucher at the fallsview keg at Embassy suites... so felt like we were kind of forced to eat there because we ended up paying for the voucher... i would have rather ate at the other KEG...also the washroom for the keg is in the hotel.. it was a long walk during dinner...the area had good restaurant around it... the shuttle bus is good if you want see everything.. it takes about 40 minutes to go to the fallsview casino... the bus goes in circle and picks up people on the other side of the road 20 min later... so get on the bus there or take the cab to the casino 6-8 bucks... quicker and easy
I probably will not stay here... stay close to the fall.. or double tree is good

We have stayed here before and this time like last time was just as good, everyone was very friendly and service was fast.
they are under a mini construction in the lobby (making it fancier) but it didnt slow anything down nor was it messy.
The rooms are very roomy and the beds comfy.....u wont be disappointed!

Check-in - We booked this hotel for our anniversary from a travel deal site. Well I was expecting average hotel with average service (100$ doesnt give you a 5 star service) and when I checked in - my belief was reaffirmed. It was a long line up for guest check-in as there was only 1 counter and we waited around 20 minutes to check-in.

Rooms - But the moment I reached the counter everything changed, the person at counter (a Mr. Ryan) was very polite and helpful. He answered all our queries and told us very relevant information. When I mentioned it was our anniversary - he upgraded our room to 'presidential suite' without any extra charge. When we stepped into the room, we were impressed with the size and cleanliness. There was a fireplace also and the room heating etc was very efficient and nice. Even the heating had almost no noise, as comapred to some other budget hotels where I have stayed and couldnt sleep because the conditioning noise was too loud.

Service - The staff was very helpful and they even provided us with coffee supplies when we returned at 2 AM after our romantic walk near the falls - all within 2 minutes of requesting for the supplies. The room service girl was also very polite and helpful and asked if we needed anything else to make our stay more comfortable (all this at 2 in the night at a budget hotel - is very impressive for me!!!!).

Restaurant - The onsite restaurant - The Keg - was very nice with good food. Their timing was an issue as the breakfast ended at 9.30 AM and dinner at 10 PM - I mean who finishes their breakfast at 9.30 while on vacation!

Location - The location is good, you can walk to Clifton hill within 2 minutes and to the falls within 5 - 15 minutes (US within 5 minutes and Canadian falls within 15 minutes).

Overall - I will surely stay again as getting such service, location and cleanliness at such a price even on a long weekend of christmas is hard to beat.
