My wife and I have now stayed at The Danner House twice and although we have stayed at other B&B's this one stands out from the crowd. The owner, "Mary" was fantastic. She is a very special person and her home is also very special. The house is approx. 200 years old and Mary has filled it with beautiful antiques, which I am sure are full of stories to tell. However, the decor is not dated. Mary has a keen eye for classic decor without becoming too obsessed with flowers and gaudy wallpaper. The house is beautiful and there are benefits to staying at The Danner House. The breakfast is delicious and the pool is refreshing. There is a bar fridge with drinks for the guests and a TV room which is very cozy. You are close to both the falls and the vineyards as well.
Overall, I would have to recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Niagara region. Mary is a sweatheart and you will love staying there.

The Danner House is a fabulous, two-century old home, about a 10-15 minute drive away from the Falls.

My boyfriend surprised me with a marriage proposal at the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory (I said "YES!") and booked us into the Danner House for the night. It was a lovely, romantic retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the Niagara Falls strip.

We stayed in a room with a 4-poster bed, antiques, and had our own bathroom down the hall. The food was amazing - our hostess even cut the lemon cake into hearts for our breakfast.

I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the recreation room with the huge pool table.

...and stay 'up river' at The Danner House! We happened upon this B&B and have been back two times -- lovely rooms, gracious hosts, an abundant breakfast and away from the hustle and bustle of Niagara on the Lake!

My friends and I enjoy the NOTL area, but sometimes find that we don't wish to be as close to the centre of things. Danner House is a short drive down the beautiful Niagara Pkwy (~25 clicks). All in all, a different experience compared to staying in NOTL -- and very quiet and peaceful in the late evening and morning hours.

What a fantastic experience! Mary and Keith provided a real family atmosphere- food was A#1 and the accommodations were superior. We were three couples and they certainly made us feel at home. As a side note- I am an early riser and one morning I was just sitting watching the news and reding an article when Mary came in with a pot of coffee and great conversation. She didn't have to do that, but I will never forget the gesture- and the coffee was a real treat!!! I certainly would give it the highest rating possible. Nunzio Maiorana
