Helpful front desk, in tired hotel that tried its best despite the aging infra structure. Nice pool, whirlpool and sauna. Rooms quiet, carpet clean and newer, but furniture and decor needs an upgrade. If you need a roof over your heads at a cost effective price, this might suit you. Enjoyed chatting with other guests in the breakfast lounge. Breakfast minimal -continental. Friendly atmosphere.

Although I had my confirmation email that clearly stated that all registered guests can park for free during their stay, I was charged $20.00 to park my car during my stay. My booking was made a year in advance and apparently the rules had changed since I booked. I was not informed of this charge until I was checking out of the hotel.
The hotel was clean and the room relatively nice, and the price I paid was fantastic, considering it was New Years weekend. I think booking a year in advance was the reason I got such a good deal for new years eve.
The pool area was well maintained and pool and hot tub temperatures were perfect. Having to go outside and cross the driveway, enter a different building then take an elevator to get to the pool area was a bit of a pain. Ice and vending machine was also in a different building from the area my room was in and this too was a hassle.
Perfect location to visit Clifton Hill attractions and within walking distance to all major attractions in the Fallsview/Clifton Hill area.

I have stayed at Micheals inn a number of times and enjoyed the time there until this time. The hotel is under new management and has lost its charm , was noisy all night and they now charge for parking and has increased it rates for the stay. The hotel room was in need of a total renovation , the shower tub was painted white and the taps were hard to use, the wall paper was peeling ,tv remote didnt work. If your looking for a place to stay look elsewhere, it will be worth the extra 50 bucks
