I think if you look a the majority of reviews regarding this hotel, the recurring theme focuses on the staff. That credit goes to Peter Lewis, the hotel manager. It is really hard to put into words the emotional aspect of staying at his hotel. My visit was for business, but I had brought my wife along as she had never visited Canada before. Unfortunately, she was sick the entire visit with a cold/flu bug. Initially, I felt bad having to leave her each day, but upon my return each evening, she couldn't wait to tell me how attentive the staff were to her. They would drop by bringing her potions, herbal teas, anything they could think of to help her. Who does that???
Its customer service taken to the next level and that is what Peter's team brings to everyone who stays there. Its hard to find a hotel that provides both a hot breakfast and dinnner as part of your hotel expense. After a hard day at work and drudging back to the hotel in bitter cold and snow (okay, I'll admit it...I'm a Florida boy), what a wonderful experience to come into the lobby of the hotel to hear people laughing and enjoying themselves during his dinner services. It was truly like being at home. Then to go up to my room to a nice fire in the fireplace and a wife had another tale to tell of how attentive and concerned the staff were that day. And the amenities were exceptional and clean whether it be the indoor pool, the dining room, the exercise room, etc., etc., etc. It will be the only place I say when I go back to Mississigauga. It may be the only place I stay if I have to go to Toronto. It would be worth the short drive.
