This hotel is in a perfect location for the downtown London pedestrian, and the staff was very friendly. However, our experience was reminiscent of staying at a youth hostel during the Stanley Cup.
Some specific issues: one of two elevators was non-functioning "until further notice". To make this a hundered times worse, the stairwell exit doors were kept locked. Our room's window curtains wouldn't close. The shower was erratically hot-cold-hot-cold. As an added bonus, our next door 'neighbors' were partying in their room until 4am, keeping us from sleeping. The walls are so thin that I could hear every word.
If, however, you don't much care about a reliable elevator, getting rest, a sense of privacy, or a good shower, then this is the place for you.
