5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Hello sir my name is Mona Elfadly and my mother Laila Taresh were pleased with our stay at the suite on 2015/2016. We both wanted to extend our pleasure to you and all your staff and hopefully we will come back in the future. The trip was topped off with your employee Mr. Blake who made our please 100% better with his great attitude and kindness. Thanks again.

Room Tip: All are great. But go with the executive suite. Beautiful view

“My Christmas Present to me!”

I have now stayed at the Hilton London Ontario for the past 2 Christmas Day evenings! A gift I plan on giving myself for a long time! It is quiet, clean, service prompt respectful and witty, my favourite is the Robe! Love love love the robe! Room service this year I ordered the soup.....Turkey vegetable which tasted just like a Christmas Turkey Dinner in a bowl.....truly amazing~! My king sized bed with its beautiful crisp white sheets and duvet were simply amazing! I could not stop smiling! Isn't that what Christmas is all about??? Joy! The Hilton London brings me Joy! The continental breakfast was what I needed....seated by the window and greeted by yet more friendly staff! Coffee was hot, brewed perfectly and a lovely morning to the final touch of my stay! I thank you! I will be back....again and again and again!
Shelly

“Average Hilton property at best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I'm writing this review from the standpoint of a business trip, and my experiences with other business type hotels. I've travelled quite a bit over the last 2 years, and usually prefer to stay in Starwood properties, but find myself in Hilton hotels every now and then, if a location doesn't have a Starwood or if we perceive the Hilton to be of better quality.

Thus, this review is based on contrasting this hotel to other hotels from a business trip standpoint.

The hotel is aged, and its evident from walking through the halls or certain part of the hotel room. And although it shouldn't impact your stay, it's something you notice right away, given the multi-billion dollar renovation budgets that these corporate conglomerates usually spend updating their hotels. Clearly, money has not been spent on this hotel.

Of course, I still enjoyed my stay. The staff is Hilton quality, the service, from Valet to room service is top notch. The price was also right, which is good when travelling on business, as keeping costs down is a must.

But, the good part are what the current staff can control. i.e. good service, friendly receptions, quick valet, quick room service, clean rooms.

What they should be able to control but they can't is the hard assets. My biggest ped peave with hotels and especially older hotels is two fold. The wall mounted heating/cooling system and the water pressure. These are hard assets that should be top of mind for hotel properties. This is where the Hilton in London fails miserably. The wall mounted unit is very old, and loud. You can't sleep with it on. Impossible. So your choices in the winter are to double up on blankets and turn off, or don't sleep.

The second easiest fix here is the water pressure. This was the worst I have ever experienced. My colleague thoughtso as well. I thought it mind have been me, but nope. Its bad. She had to triple rinse her hair.

Otherwise, this hotel is good. But its aged and in serious need of some fixes. I've stayed in older hotels, but these older hotels are usually upkept a little better than this place. Hopefully, its on a corporate Hilton hotel list requiring renovations.

There was probably a reason why we were able to book same day at significant discount to competing hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room if available

“A Great Stay in a Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I have had the opportunity to visit London not only for business but for pleasure. I live only two hours from London but have always chosen the Hilton as my hotel of choice. My most recent stay was on January 13th, yes Friday the 13th and I did not have bad luck with my choice of stay at the Hilton London. The staff have always gone out of their way to make me feel welcomed. The rooms are always above expectations and the staff in the Executive Lounge was more than accommodating. I fully recommend the London Hilton Hotel as your place to stay with visiting London, Ontaro.
