WE originally booked 3 nights at this B & B in Kingston but liked it so much we booked an extra night. Barbara, our host, was so kind and helpful and enthusiastic in a very infectious kind of way - you couldn't help but be charmed by her and her beautiful home. This house is not for people with mobility problems as the stairs are quite steep and narrow and our four poster bed had two little wooden steps to help you get onto it it was SO high! The room was comfortable and clean and had a nice little ensuite bathroom. Outside there was a pretty little garden area which you can use - a peaceful spot to sit and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine - we did both!
Breakfasts were always accompanied by beautiful music drifting through from the kitchen, really peaceful classical music which so fitted the style of the house. Breakfast itself was tasty and plentiful with pancakes, eggs etc. - yummy.
The B & B is very well placed for the short stroll into town, no need to use the car at all and Barbara provided us with a list of her favourite restaurants to help us make our choice. All in all an excellent choice which was made after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. Thanks for an excellent stay Barbara and thanks for the lovely wine which we enjoyed in The Swiss Hotel in Ottawa which you very kindly helped us to book.
