We stayed at this charming hotel on May 30 and 31, 2014. Our room was simply but tastefully furnished in antiques, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was austere, but clean. We enjoyed a light breakfast each morning of english muffins, cheese, fruit, juice and excellent coffee. The service was very good. The hotel is an easy walk from the downtown/waterfront area. If I were going to change anything, I would like to have had room darkening curtains. No complaints about the sun, especially after this past winter(!), but it was very light in our room by 5:00 a.m. I would also have enjoyed some quiet music in the parlour during breakfast. The silence was awkward when there were others about, as you couldn't help but hear their conversations, and feel that you were being overhead. A little background music would have alleviated that discomfort considerably. All in all, it was a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel.
