Stayed in September 2011 for two nights in the middle of the week and was quite pleased with the service and stay. Stayed again in October 2011 for a week long and throughout the weekend and the experience was quite different. On weekends various sport teams are staying there. During my stay a team of kids with so called coaches - "supervisors" were staying in the hotel. "Supervisors" appeared drunk by late evening in the common area of the hotel and kids were running around the hotel without adult supervision. More so some of them were screaming while playing ball and kicking plastic bottles around on the basketball court located just outside of the hotel's windows. As a note, be aware that hotel has a basketball court right in front of room windows and can be used it till 9:00pm. If you want to rest prior to this time it would be out of a question. After raising this issue to management three times via phone, the issue was not addressed. My husband went to front desk to discuss it with the hotel staff in person. There, while speaking with the receptionist, he was approached by two male coaches “supervisors” of the sport’s team and in intimidating way he was asked if we have a problem and/or if we have issue with their kids. As their appeared not quite sober we withdrew to our room. Later that evening we did receive a phone call from the manager of the hotel when we expressed our concerns. We were informed that these 'sport teams' come and stay with them very often and especially on weekends and as per all Homewood suites brand feature they are allowed to use hotel facilities including the basketball court till 9:00pm every day. We were not provided with any explanation regarding the lack of a reaction of the hotel staff to kids taking over the hotel and the so called coaches’ absence of supervision.
I am disturbed and very concerned not mentioning feeling unsafe by lack of proper and faster reaction of the hotel staff in situations when guests cannot express their issues during the stay without being intimidated by other completely irresponsible guests.

Stayed in a two bed-roomed suite at this relatively new hotel for four nights. The rooms are great -- the separate kitchen/living area is a godsend with kids and both bedrooms have their own bathrooms -- much needed. The hotel is large (with only one elevator). There is a pool that's open early to late - the kids loved it, a fitness room, and a complimentary breakfast of hot and cold items. The breakfast was great and the selection excellent (so long you like kids cereals though). The do a beer and wine with hot appetizers in the evening during the week, but be warned they charge for the wine and beer (the only hotel I've ever seen this at -- might be something to do with licensing laws in Canada).
The hotel is between Toronto and Hamilton and we used it as a base to visit relatives in both places. It was perfect. There isn't much to do around the hotel itself, it seems to be more for business travelers but because of the that it's very quiet. There is a hotel right next door that has a nice restaurant and bar -- that you can walk to which is a bonus. Kids meals were huge.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. It is new and is extremely clean.

The service is fabulous and there is a complimentary dinner served Mon-Thurs and breakfast daily. The food is very good for being included in your stay, we were pleasantly surprised.

Don't hesitate to stay here - you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here while attending the Erie Shores Dog Show. Our whole Family loved it here. We had a one bedroom suite with plenty of room for all of us. The suite was lovely, clean, and spacious. The complimentary internet was definately a PLUS. I have to say that the Staff were just amazing. Especially Dorothy! We arrived a little late to eat, and Dorothy was part of the dietary staff. She started bringing the food BACK OUT for us! In all of our travels Worldwide, we have never had the staff bringing food back out. Usually they can't wait to get you taken care of .. and gone! How refreshing .. "Thank You Dorothy, Tony, Jennifer .. and all of the staff. Dorothy also went our of her way to tell her Supervisor, who then gave us a gift cerificate to the main restaurant at the Hilton next door. How lovely! We honestly can't say enough about this hotel. Truly a "Hidden Gem!"
