My guy and I had a few extra "use 'em or lose 'em" vacation days and opted for a relaxful getaway that might help us to remember that when we were kids, we actually LIKED winter. Found the Inn on the internet and were attraced by the fact that they are an actual working farm and inn and that they had interesting package deals. We booked two nights in a suite with the Blue Mountain Scandenavian Spa and (believe it or not) an introduction dog sledding experience. We had a wonderful stay. The inn is charming - nestled in the country side and we wandered the grounds introducing ourselves to the horses, chickens and reindeer. Our afternoon at the Spa was divine and made even better by the prepacked bag with water bottle, towels and fluffy robes compliments of the inn. Both breakfasts we had were amazing and plentiful - fruit, yogurt, sweet breads and a hot entree (the French Toast was to die for) all in front of a cozy wood burning fire. Some wonderful conversation with fellow travellers and inn mates. The room was comfortable and clean with wood burning fire place, fridge, DVD player and bathtub with jets. We did not take advantage of either jacuzzi at the inn as we had enjoyed soaking and steaming and cold plunging at the spa. We very much enjoyed our conversation with inn keeper Linda about the farm, the horses and Tai Chi. Our sledding experience in Rob Roy was a lot of fun. It was introduction level and well suited to families, but both me and my guy had a blast playing with the huskies and taking turns around the track at the helm of the sleds. We threw in a few hours geocahing in Blue Mountain, Collingwood and the surrounding area. A great relaxing few days and a place we want to visit again when motorcycle season beakons. NOTE: Cellular service is iffy at best so be aware if you're the type that needs to check in regularly - The inn DOES have wireless internet though and a computer in the living room that you can use!
Room Tip: We stayed in the studio and would like to try a suite or even the Croft with other family
