“Beyond Perfect!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2006

My husband and I came across the Eye of the Eagle in a random search for somewhere to go for the Easter long weekend. It turned out to be the best choice ever! The gentle spirits of our hosts Ann & Rod, made our trip restful, relaxing and rejuvenating. Their beautiful home, the lovely evening conversations with delicious home made cookies, BIG meals (that you can hardly finish), and a gourmet dinner made the trip far more than we expected. It is not just their open friendly nature but their attention to detail, care, love and pride in what they do that sets them apart from others. Breafast is ready when you are, lunch is a pleasant meal with great conversation, dinner started as a visual treat with a beautifully laid out table with lovely china and crystal and candles (The table setings were different at each meal!). And the meals -delicious, gourmet fare, healthy and varied. The attention does not end there, you find chocolates on your pillow and a specially made up gift basket to take home with you.
We loved that after dinner we were able to go into the hot tub outdoors and enjoy the evening, but the best was yet to come - a couples hot stone massage which was different from any massage we've ever had. Ann has the kindest touch! The fact that we did not try out other spa facilities is one more reason to go back. What a treat to be able to have a massage at 9:00 pm and then slip into your robe and relax.
We have already decided to go back again and highly recommend Eye of the Eagle retreat - which really is more than a retreat; but in order to find out what that means you'll have to make a trip that we are sure will not disappoint.
Ann and Rod we thank you!

“An incredible weekend getaway with execellent hospitality and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2006

"The eye of the eagle" B&B/SPA is definitely the place to be when you have to get away from it all! It was my first time and I will definitely be going back! This special place situated in the beautiful forest of Point au Baril is one of serenity and quiteness. Whether you are going snowshoeing, getting a great massage, taking a nice hotbath outside under the stars, relaxing in front of the fireplace, reading in their beautifully decorated rooms or having a superb home-cooked meal, the hosts Ann and Rod make sure you are well taken care of and beyond! I would like to honor this couple for their outstanding service, hospitality and friendliness. Thanks again!

“Absolutely loved our stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 April 2006

Have stayed with Ann and Rod on several occasions and had lovely times playing games, hiking, soaking in the outdoor hot tub and even catching a nap in front of the old fashioned wood stove. Rod's crepes are to die for,and each time he's regaled us with new tastes to enjoy. Don (husband)and Rod hit if off and spent quite a few hours hiking, fishing, and generally solving the worlds problems.

Each and every time Ann has had a new treatment for me to try. My next one will be a hot stone massage...and maybe even another pedicure. Another bonus is that all this was available at their retreat, in the comfort of their home, and at our convenience (I even had a aroma therapy massage at 9:00 p.m. after my soak in the hot tub). I had worked all week and then travelled 3 hrs. and Ann accomodating me and my poor tired old body absolutely made my week.

I have referred several of our friends and business associates to the Eye of the Eagle Retreat, and have nothing but raves for this couple. Their facility, their hard work, and graciousness is what continues to draw us to return.
