this hotel is really rather sweet, a classic late 60s architectural gem, windows that open and staff that are a delight. a short walk away from the Five Fishermen [arguably the nicest place to eat in Halifax] and with views of the Citadel and/or the harbour i would happily stay here again. lovely kingsize beds and real cotton sheets. AND the housekeeper gave me extra coffee, bless her

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and impressions of the Citadel Halifax Hotel on Tripadvisor. I am delighted that you appreciate and celebrate the Citadel Halifax along with us at the Hotel. This year marks our 48th anniversary and we would like to thank all of our guests as well as the community for all of their support over our time in the community! We are really looking forward to the future and the exciting new developments that will happen at this location and watching while this end of the community is redeveloped. We are eager to get back to the Hotel business at hand and we will celebrate the grand opening in 2013 just as we are the closure of this landmark Hotel.
