We made this reservation online based on trip advisor and google maps! We were thoroughly pleased with our decision. Our room was nicely decorated with period pieces, and spotlessly clean. We appreciated being able to control the room temperature ourselves. The bathroom was clean and well appointed.
The breakfasts were great! Lots of variety - one would have no excuse for going away hungry! They offered everything from dry cereal with fresh fruit and yoghurt to french toast, hashbrowns, even brown beans!
Staff were helpful and extremely friendly. The location was perfect - lots of restaurants nearby and walking distance to just about everything downtown.
Would definitely recommend this place!

we made this reservation on trip advisor before we left. what a nice find. it's location was just perfect, you could walk to most anywhere in the area and just leave your car. the breakfast was a continental type and it was good. we liked it so much we booked another night 10 days later before leaving halifax and nova scotia.

When we first arrived at the Waverly we were ecstatic over the location, value and appearance of the place. The location is great. Access to the boardwalk, Dalhousie area, the Public Gardens and all the touristy stuff was a quick walk...within minutes of getting in the room we confirmed a second night's stay. It really had the unique qualities of a B&B, and the food was great. If you like non-chain inns, and don't need a GIANT room this is the place. I have no complaints...except that we didn't have time to stay longer.

Stayed here one night in early October and even though I had the room right beside the front desk, this is a wonderful inn and I will certainly stay here again. It's a great location, on the south side of downtown, and therefore easy to walk to almost anywhere. Staff were most welcoming and provided any information I needed. The room was very comfortable with nice antiques and modern touches where needed. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was better than some restaurants charge for. This In stands out from among all hotels by giving you a chance to get away from the "chain" feeling of standard hotels. If you get the chance, you'll even your stay here.
