Older hotel that really needs to update for curb appeal. Hotel is great for families. Okay for business travellers. Time for new carpet in the fitness centre - looks like the chlorine from the pool mechanical room has taken its toll.

Nice, clean pool and hot tub, dry sauna, exercise room.
Pet friendly rooms are on the lower floor, and no elevator to this level.
Great outdoor space for the dogs.
Rooms are a little dated, but very clean, and beds are comfortable.
Lots of pillows, AC worked great.
Kids love the pool area, and hotel is central to Sydney downtown, easy trip to WalMart Sydney River, Tim Horton's and the like.
Restaurant is ok for breakfast. The only serve the buffet breafast when the hotel is full with guests, the rest of the time your voucher will get you a brown bag breakfast and coffee to go - which is a little disappointing. But you can always order off the restaurant menu, and your voucher will save you a few dollars off the breakfast menu.
Eggs benedict was really well done, kids waffles with whipped cream was delicious, and tea is hot.
The next morning we were able to have the buffet. The buffet is plentiful.. pancakes, hash brown potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal, juice (apple and orange), and the wait staff is super terrific, and friendly.

We slept in the most amazing bed ever. My partner and I are very particular about where we lay our heads at night. The room we stayed in was wonderful in particular the bed. We couldn't wait to go to bed at night just so we could enjoy sleeping in the bed. The room was very tastefully decorated to our surprize, nice decor and artwork.

The ladies in the dining room were very friendly, not just to ourselves, but to all the guests.

The front desk was very quick to allow us to use two wine glasses that we much needed for our wine the second night there. When in 'Sydney again, this is where we will be staying.

When we checked in and got to our room, we realized that we were right next to the guest laundry facilities and ice and pop machines. We went back up to the desk and asked if we could move as we thought it might be noisy. The front desk person seemed a bit perturbed and said they hadn't had any complaints about noise before. She did put us into another room. This hotel needs updating! We had a complimentary breakfast included with our stay. We only ate breakfast there one morning. Selection was not very good, eggs were cold and they actually served fried bologna. The whirlpool was not working. Good location.
